nffcbaz72 Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Anyone recommend a replacement for the bt homehub 4? Its going to connect to the duma. One that is reliable please...thanks in advance. Bazza.
BIG__DOG Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 if your cabinet is eci then get a draytek or any modem with a lantiq (infineon) chipset or if it is hauwei then get a broadcom chipset modem. draytek vigor 130 eci (lantiq/infineon). openreach hg612 (broadcom).
nffcbaz72 Posted May 12, 2017 Author Posted May 12, 2017 Cheers BD.....it's for a friend. I'll pass that on.
BIG__DOG Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 How do you know the make of the cabinet ? http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/fttc-cabinets.htm
BIG__DOG Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 oh, by the way, those are for modems only, not modem/routers! If the duma is connecting to it then theres no problem as all you need to do is input your pppoe details if you know them. If it is bt then it is the following: username: [email protected] password: anything you like just so long as the box is not empty!
nffcbaz72 Posted May 12, 2017 Author Posted May 12, 2017 Yes the duma is connected. Cheers matey. Have a good weekend pal.
