EEckard Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Just started having an issue w/ my router - I'll come back to my PC and notice there's no internet connection. Check router - all lights still on. Unplugging the power to the router, then plugging back in, seems to be the only step that works to bring the connection back up. Lasts an hour or so, then the connection cuts out again. Can't access Netduma dashboard when connection is out as well. Any ideas how to fix?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 8, 2017 Administrators Posted May 8, 2017 Hey, welcome to the forum! Does this occur on wireless devices or wired or both? If wireless follow this guide: http://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000022405-why-does-the-netduma-wifi-keep-dropping-out-
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 9, 2017 Administrators Posted May 9, 2017 Is it just your PC that experiences this issue or other wired devices as well? Have you got a different ethernet cable you're able to try to connect the PC to the router? Make sure your PC is connecting via automatic network settings and set a static IP for the PC in DHCP lease.
EEckard Posted May 11, 2017 Author Posted May 11, 2017 Sorry, have been away for a couple of days. Yeah, it seems to effect wireless connections as well. Some can connect to the router, but with no internet. Router had been working fine with no changes over the last year.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 12, 2017 Administrators Posted May 12, 2017 Have you tried a new ethernet cable between the router & your modem as it may have degraded over that year. When it cuts out was there anything you were doing specifically at the time? Heavily downloading for example?
EEckard Posted May 12, 2017 Author Posted May 12, 2017 Tried another cable. Issue seems to still happen intermittently. I thought it may have had to do with the PC hibernating, but it seems to come and go while working as well.
