Honey Badger WS
Help What do you put in the dns address if you have static ip... if I use the netduma as dns 192.168.88.1 I get moderate nat type on the xbox screen. If I use google 8.8.8.8 sometimes I get open Nat but some times I get moderate... if moderate I get the message that my xbox is behind a cone nat. All ports for xbox live and iw have been opened and upnp is enabled. Thanks
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 7, 2017 Administrators Share Posted March 7, 2017 I would leave DNS as auto. You won't see any tangible benefit from changing it. Then you shouldn't have a NAT issue as well. UPnP should not be enabled if port forwarding has been done so disable that. Also disable UPnP forwarding in miscellaneous settings. Honey Badger WS
Even with all the port forwarding done and showing udp/tcp port 3076 in the port forwarding it still shows in the upnp screen as being routed via upnp.. Why does it show that when it's in the port forwarding
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 7, 2017 Administrators Share Posted March 7, 2017 That's the point, they create conflicts with each other. UPnP detects the ports needed and tries to open them. So disable the UPnP and you won't get the conflicts.
