Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 3, 2017 Administrators Share Posted February 3, 2017 Is this on your BT hub you're talking about or on the R1 itself? Are you trying to set a static IP for the R1 on the hub?
evo95
Yes it's on the bt hub it just won't save and keeps going back to dhcp. It should be set to static?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 3, 2017 Administrators Share Posted February 3, 2017 You don't need to set a static IP for the Netduma on the hub. DHCP is absolutely fine - it won't provide any benefits connection wise. The only thing would be is that you might need to reupdate the DMZ with the R1 WAN IP if you reboot the router. If you don't want to do that (don't know how often you reboot the router) I would set a static IP for the R1 on your hub.
