procreate
so watching the network monitor while playing minecraft multiplayer is quite interesting.... seems like a LOT of information always being sent back and forth. there are even 28Mb/8Mb spikes every so often. Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted May 15, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted May 15, 2015 Yes. I've also noticed this when running a minecraft server as well You'll find if your playing on servers with lots of mods that the bandwidth used will also increase. Administrators Netduma Iain Posted May 15, 2015 Administrators Share Posted May 15, 2015 that is quite interesting, I've never played Minecraft so I can't really comment. Usually games use ticks but if lots of action occurs at once then you'll see increases. So in FPS you'll see data increase when lots of combat occurs. Akic
Ironic that a game with the simplest graphics uses the most bandwidth lol
procreate
Yep, MC uses ticks as well. Known to cause issue with some of the Redstone timing on servers. People think CoD lag is horrible. And next update is the "Combat Update" which I have no idea why...
procreate
Ironic that a game with the simplest graphics uses the most bandwidth lol It's also a massive sandbox world that has loads of entities with their own AI, contraptions that can be built and activated, etc.
