sachy Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Hi guys, I've just brought a netduma R1 box, and reason behind it was to have a permanent vpn running for my TV. However, the download speeds are awful when using the vpn. I have a 100mbps download and 6mbps upload via Virgin Media, and the SuperHub is in Modem mode. If I run a speed test with the vpn disabled, I get between 86\95mbps download, but with the vpn enable it drops to a horrific 6mbps ?? I've followed all the recommended settings and read lots on the netduma site and Mikrotech router forums, but nothing is changing. Can anyone please advise ?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 16, 2017 Administrators Posted January 16, 2017 Hey, welcome to the forum! Sorry to say that the VPN speed is limited to around 10mbps. That should be enough for what you need it for, unless it's a smart TV & you're watching Netflix etc on it?
