TurboBaron
Just got off the phone with my ISP as I've had some connectivity problems. At first I thought it was my connection itself, but I've established when I put my Virgin Superhub back into modem and router mode everything works fine. I've tested the ethernet cable I usually use to connect the R1 to the Superhub and it's working fine. When I put the Superhub back in modem mode and connected my laptop up to it I was able to browse the net and also access the superhub's admin page. Interestingly when I connected my laptop to the R1 I was able to get to it's admin page, so I figured I'd try rebooting it. When I hit Settings -> Misc I got an error message which said "Error loading misc page. Please post issue at forum.netduma.com". Can you take a look at this for me please guys ? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 3, 2017 Administrators Share Posted January 3, 2017 That error does occur when you have no connection to the internet so that is expected. Usually a reboot from misc settings will resolve the issue you're having. Did you go through with the reboot? If so did it not restore internet? TurboBaron
I did try rebooting through Misc but it didn't make any difference
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 3, 2017 Administrators Share Posted January 3, 2017 So to clarify Virgin hub connected to the R1 port 1 to port 1 with PC I am assuming connected to port 2? Do you see a WAN IP in device manager?

TurboBaron
So to clarify Virgin hub connected to the R1 port 1 to port 1 with PC I am assuming connected to port 2? Do you see a WAN IP in device manager? OK so more weirdness. I went back and made sure I was set up as you've described above. I'm able to access the R1 control panel and didn't get an error message when I went into Settings -> Misc. I've also been able to browse the internet as normal while using the laptop connected with an ethernet cable to port 5 on the R1. Ran a speedtest, got a 12 ms ping,67 mb down, 7.5 up. I've also been able to connect my iPhone to the R1's wireless and everything seems fine. I'm going to keep my eye on this because something's definitely not right. I'm still not confident all is perfect with my Virgin connection because over the past couple of weeks I've had to power cycle the Superhub and the R1 after my connection's dropped out. Also on Virgin's remote diagnostic test you can run through their website several times it's shown there's been some sort of fault that they've then worked on remotely and prompted me to power cycle all my devices. I don't suppose there are any VM insiders that frequent this board that might be able to offer some insight ? Going on what other people have said in other posts I'm inclined to believe my R1 is fine and Virgin's network is ass. Perhaps you should get me involved as a tester for the new o/s ? My networking knowledge is pretty rudimentary but I don't have seem to run into plenty of issues for you to scratch your heads at
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 4, 2017 Administrators Share Posted January 4, 2017 Great to hear it's working now! Yes do continue to monitor it to see if anything changes. We haven't chosen any testers yet but will of course keep everyone in mind.
