Download speed capped from router?

Recommended Posts

I have 200mbit download speed internet connection, but for some reason with my Netduma router thrown in the mix I am getting results of 50mbit download speed on speedtest.net

To confirm it was the router, I hooked up my internet modem to my computer directly and ran a speedtest and it came back accurately at 200mbit. So it is the router.

I went to the Congestion Control panel in the router and moved both caps to 100% but it didn't change anything. I also tried shifting the download prioritization 100% to this computer, also did nothing.

Please advise. Thank you.

Follow this for your speeds:

  • Reactive Algorithm
  • 100% anti-flood
  • Share excess enabled
  • Reset device prioritisation & apply
  • Disable IPv6 in WAN, LAN & misc
  • Disable deep packet in misc
  • Enable turbo mode
  • Ensure the ethernet cables you're using connecting the R1 to hub & R1 to PC are Cat5e+/can handle your speeds.
  • Do a wired speed test from a PC

Not sure which thing did it, but it's fixed. Thank you. :)
