Enrix
Hello everyone, Assuming that I am using Black Ops 3 for testing because it tells me if my NAT is open or moderate when I am in the main menu: I am trying to use upnp to get open nat without needing to use the port forward (I can get open nat with port forwarding). I've tried all I could, but my NAT it's always moderated. Tests I've done: upnp enabled and upnp forwarding disabled, upnp enabled and upnp forwarding enabled, upnp disabled and upnp forwarding enabled/disabled... I've even tried to enable/disable the upnp on my ISP modem. (Yeah I know that some of the tests I've done are useless and stupid, but I am not really good with networking and I just wanted to try everything I could, hoping for a positive result). Before you suggest me, yes, I don't have any port forwarding rules enabled and my host filtering is disabled Any suggestions guys? Thanks a lot Regards
Enrix
If u must use upnp. Remember device must have power removed. I would reboot modem, reboot router, make sure ps4/Xbox is off and power unplugged for 2 minutes.powrr back on ps4/Xbox. Should be open. If still isn't repeat. Or try opening ghosts /mw. Yeah I already tried to restart my PS4 while doing my tests. Should I reboot my modem too then? Should I enable upnp forwarding? Thanks!
Enrix
You must do it in this order. This is from my experiences. Reboot modem. Then reboot router. Make sure ps4 is off and unplugged. As ps4 stores info when off and in rest mode. Wait 5 mins then plug back in ps4. I personally had too many issues keeping upnp going perfectly so I stopped using it. My setup is modem to Duma to ps4. Alright then no upnp! Thanks for the suggestions
