help with settings

Recommended Posts

I have an att pace 5268 with net duma hard wired via dmz. Connected to net duma is an xbox one, desktop for gaming, and a laptop strictly to make changes to net duma. connected to the att router is a magic jack, and another laptop (used for streaming) and 2 fire sticks (which are never used while gaming. My main concern is the massive problem I have with lag compensation on infinite warfare. I have tried the suggested settings and also limiting the xbox to 3down/1.5up as i saw on a you tube video. I have tried moving these numbers up and down and the problem continues. It is not any worse than before net duma, just no different. I have the best internet available to me 45d/5up. Should I have everthing connected straignt to net duma? Prior to net duma with the last call of duty I had similar problems. I found that having a second xbox downloading a g while i played helped. About 50% of the games were fair. I didnt get host while doing this it just seemed to make thigs a little more fair. Unfortunately this doesnt work with iw. i was really hoping the net duma would be the answer, but so far no luck. I am hoping someone on here with far greater knowledge than I might have some answers. There is something wrong I just dont know what to do to fix/help it. It feels like the ping iw determines I have is way lower than my actual ping causing me to be behind everyone else. I can run test, change setting and provide stats if anyone can help

note..Adam from net duma is directing me to a one on one link as well

U have great Internet. Everything should be through netduma. As I do the iptv thing as well. Running 3 at once while gaming. No issues. I run 180d/25up. One game I run a 6.0. Next I go 2.0 or 1.5. Depends on tdm or hc kc. Servers are problem. Never had this issue on bo3. Netduma won't fix iw.

I suggest u set up ur netduma correctly first. Or else other ppl on here will tell u same thing.

Kodi or whatever u using doesn't lag ur network.

Hey, welcome to the forum!

I'll copy and paste what I said in your 1 on 1 thread here:

Firstly I would recommend everything be connected to the Netduma. As you have devices connected to the ATT congestion control will not be working correctly.

Once everything is connected I would use 70/70 anti-flood with your console in hyper traffic. I also recommend ~1000km radius, strict mode on, ping assist 0. What is your typical ping to the game as shown by the duma?

If you post the screenshots from here that will also help us optimise your settings http://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000022425-lag-support-instructions-to-post-on-the-forum-

If needed we can do a 1 on 1 but I believe it can be resolved by doing the above.

so limit everything to 70%, or just the xbox?

Leave device prioritisation reset with share excess enabled.

Lower anti-flood download & upload to 70% each.

ps i set the host filtering as you suggested and when i finally get in a lobby i immediately get thrown out  10 times so far

Where are you located/when is your home location set to? Can you include a screenshot please?

slip, so I should let everything have equal access? with everything connected there is not much upload left. What about the share excess button?

Everything should be connected to the R1 in order for the congestion control to work correctly. Then 70/70 anti-flood, leave prioritisation reset with share excess enabled. That should eliminate any local congestion as well as leave enough bandwidth for all your devices.

I put all ports for xbox iw in the hyper traffic and now i am moderate, before it had been open

Remove the ports in hyper traffic just use the 'Xbox Live' service. That shouldn't have an effect on your NAT.

what would you suggest I put in hyper traffic exactly?

Just choose the Xbox Live service.

If you need to please post in the 1 on 1 section and I will take a look. Keep in mind I need at least one days notice and will not be available on Saturday but can do Sunday if necessary.
