Netduma broke?

Recommended Posts

Hi- I purchased my netduma about a year ago at the start of blops3. I enjoyed it for about six months and saw great improvement in my connection. Then it simply stopped working. I had lost interest in playing by that time so I didn't bother trying to fix it and just went back to using my old router.

Yesterday I decided to dig it up and try to fix it, as new games have come out and I wanted to play again. I tried installing the netduma like a fresh, out of the box installation but that didn't work (no connection). Then I tried connecting it directly to my PC using Ethernet cable to port 2, but again I couldn't access the control panel. Finally I followed the "bricking" guide and did a factory reset. That didn't work either.

At this point I have no idea how to proceed. The power supply is fine and the light comes on when plugged in. I've tried multiple ethernet cables in case one was defective.

Apologies if I missed something in the FAQ, support base or forum posts. I believe I might have had a hardware failure with my R1.

Assistance greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hold down the reset button on the back until it restarts to do a factory reset

First of all, thank you for the quick replies. It turns out that a network switch I was using kicked the bucket. I have removed it and I'm now able to connect my netduma. It is running software version 1.03.4, and I see a message at the top of the browser interface telling me to upgrade the firmware. However the update notes say *not* to upgrade if you are on version lower than 1.03.5m. Is there a different update for my version of the R1? Thanks again.

Post here and we'll check your router for upgrading to the latest version http://forum.netduma.com/topic/11018-major-netduma-upgrade-now-available-v-1036/page-64
