PewPew1
This is my 2nd week with my NetDuma R1. I have had a few problems with it from the start but lately (past 2 days) it has been really giving me alot of problems. I play Destiny and hoped this router would alleviate most of the lag I encounter. Here is a list of issues I'm currently experiencing and the solutions I've tried to alleviate the issues with. Rabbit, Quail,Chicken, Beaver, Baboon and weasel errors as I attempt to load into a match. Was kicked/booted from 10 matches in a row yesterday. My attempt to fix this: Turn Off strict, Reboot router. tried this 3 times. Padlocks shown on my geo filter. I never banned any servers. Still proceeded to be kicked/booted not only in multiplayer but from common social spaces like patrol and the Tower. My attempt to fix was to move my home away from the padlocks, reboot yet again. But nothing helped I couldnt play yesterday at all. General issues from today like extra laggy lobbies and the R1 menu screens not responding and needing a reboot about 4 times today. I even factory reset the R1 and added back all my ports but it did not help, just wasted time. Im starting to feel my R1 is defective to be honest. All I do is reboot all day. things that are ticked: Allow auto feedback Allow remote access Enable upnp Cookies on Turbo mode Auto cloud Bleeding edge Host filtering ticked: Peer ping strict mode (tried Off was Bad too) 600 miles 0 ping My buffer bloat test receives an A+ when tested. I dont have alot of devices connected just my pc, ps4 and 2 cellphones. I pay for 150/150 fiber from my isp. Speed tests show me at 153/161. My ps4 has a static ip set up in the R1. Rouer firmware is same as what I got it with 1.03.6h Any help would be appreciated
PewPew1
Edit to include The marionberry errors as well. When this error occurs in Destiny all my devices loose connection to the internet. What fixes this is, you guessed it a reboot!
PigskinXpress
I had to untick Enable UPNP forwarding to fix the issue for me. Once I unticked that I didnt get the locks anymore. and everything ran normal. Might work for you too.
PewPew1
If I untick upnp I begin red barring in game and my speeds drop significantly.
frustrated
Have you read in the general support section about Destiny marionberry issue? Go have a read if you havent and try whats suggested in there, untick auto cloud nleeding edge, and appy then re tick auto cloud bleeding edge and apply. Wait upto 4hours and then re try. Next does this issue happen if you leave geo off? Is it only with geo on? Most of the Destiny issue where sorted out by these fixes in the general support area. Let us no. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 13, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 13, 2016 You NEED strict off in order to play Destiny otherwise you will receive those errors/get booted. You should be using Chrome/Firefox to access the interface. Also ensure you're using the default theme on the router. You should have ALL devices in your home connected to the R1 and none to your ISP hub otherwise congestion control will not work correctly. You should then use 70/70 anti-flood and put the console in hyper traffic. If I untick upnp I begin red barring in game and my speeds drop significantly. Not UPnP, UPnP forwarding in settings > miscellaneous. This doesn't need to be on as it tries to open ports on your upstream router (which should have the R1 in the DMZ) so isn't necessary. Whilst on ports, you should have only UPnP OR port forwarding enabled, not both. You should also do the above post as well to reflush the cloud

Yes I've done and continue ticking and unticking (and applying!) Bleeding edge cloud settings. Tried this with and without the geo filter on. Marionberry has happened in total of owning my R1 3 times so far, far less than all the other zoo animal error codes. You NEED strict off in order to play Destiny otherwise you will receive those errors/get booted. You should be using Chrome/Firefox to access the interface. You should also do the above post as well to reflush the cloud To answer some questions above Not sure why Destiny was working swimmingly prior to this past weekend WITH strict ON. Most of my issues minus rebooting constantly which is really annoying, have been past 3 days. Same settings from the start, did all my homework, read the entire forum before attempting to set this router up. Yes, I'm running Chrome on my windows 10 machine Yes, all devices are running through my R1, as stated above there are only 4 connected devices in my home, boring huh? My ps4 is 1 of them. I don't feel I need congestion control in my situation as I'm alone all day so My PS4 doesn't compete with other devices. When my boyfriend returns from work he only uses his iPhone to our home network. As mentioned I have a fiber connection at 150/150, more than enough for our needs. I've turned off wifi on my isp's router as well. If i place the sliders to 70/70 my buffer bloat test shows me at a C rating and my gaming does not feel crisp. 90/90 gives me better results as far as buffer bloat and in game feel. I doubt I need to limit my household much as I mentioned above I'm the only one on 90% of the time. I've unticked UpnP in settings. Yes, my R1 is in DMZ in my isp router with a static ip assigned. It's very frustrating to constantly need to reboot the router and as often as I have to. Thanks for the suggestions, I will try it out today and report back. frustrated
Hi, yeah im surprised you play with strict on as i never bneen able to play with strict on, least try with it off, i have my ping assist at zero and a small radius over the uk, although im in the north sea home location. Are you waiting up to 4hours for the cloud to reset? Im Cc is down to you id say 70/70 but again see how you go, that speeds odd tho 150 150, so wpuld you need super turbno mode? The only time ive been a red bar in PvP is when ive played around with Cc, of which ive only done with testing the right settings, have you tried the Destiny profile in the profile section on the duma? Does that give you solid geen bar? As for laggy games in Destiny, well i think sometimes thats Destiny mucking around with matchmaking. Have you checked your ping on ping plotter? Make sure your isp is ok, i think try above what Frasier siad and let us no. I feel your Frustration tho, pvp is all i played, but i just can't stand Destiny's matchmaking, and no dedicated servers, of which p2p connection causes not always good connection. But strict off lol and try it .. You can test now in a private match.
PewPew1
Don't know if it's exactly 4 hours but my gaming sessions are long and I have a three monitor setup so It's easy to acess my pc as I play my consoles. But yes, I refresh the cloud often and not so often. I do have turbo mode on not super turbo as I understood it's for connections above 500. My speeds are odd? Please elaborate? Yes I'm always green bar in destiny, does the UK have fiber optic connections? That's what I have, It's better than any TV or telephone company can offer. It's major competitor is Google fiber. I sated I red bar when I untick upnp my whole connection suffers, which tells me something is holding flow back. As stated 70/70 does not work for me. Yes, as stated my ping is 2 speeds 150/161 on ookla. But I dont think my isp or what I pay for in internet has to do with destiny booting me lately from games. I'm an Alpha player on Destiny Grimoire 5010 I never had issue prior to the R1. My biggest concern AS STATED ( I feel no ones really reading my posts:) is constant rebooting like every 15 mins and as of late error codes and lag (not by me the lobbies) in the game. PewPew1
Just started up a couple of games in Destiny's multiplayer. I can report I did not get booted from any match. Unfortunately, the geo filter is not filtering anything like it was a few days ago. Laggy lobbies galore, it feels as if I'm playing the game without an R1. We all know that feeling don't we? Otherwise we would have no need for an R1. Saw a post from another netduma user here which suggests Destiny's update this weekend on the clan roster. Maybe something has changed in game that might need an update to the net dumas cloud? Edit: spoke with a few friends (not netduma users) and they have not experienced any lag like I am all weekend til today. Curious if I remove the netduma and try with my isp's router what results I get, this is really not fun for me. I think I can still return it lol
frustrated
Yeah i read everything very clearly, i asked once you have unticked bleeding edge auto cloud, you must wait upto 4hrs for it to propagate. Speeds i understood, just not the 150/150 bit more 150down 20up etc but all good if thats understood then fine. Next im at 4plus grimore year 1player,and in tne uk with Bt adsl 14dwn. 94up. I run ping assist zero, strict off Cc 100%both,geo about 901.61mi. Again if your not waiting the 4hours or upto, then its not re flushing the cloud properly. Im talking about how long your playing for? Im saying the reflush takes upto four hours. Not sure what you mean buy uk fibre optic? Im in the uk i no whats out there, next have you tried the Destiny profile.? I understand your having to reboot the router, but honestly reset the cloud and wait upto the 4hours it may work, have you read the Marionberry thread in general support on the forum. Just trying to help ya that's all.

Yep, and I appreciate the help. I'm posting my internet speeds and my Destiny stats to be more clear I suppose as I didn't feel I'm getting through to my points. Not posted for any other reason than just that. Sorry if I offended as many things can get lost in translation. tldr: I have super speeds so I dont red bar as you said above, been playing Destiny a long time:)

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 14, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 14, 2016 If you can post in the 1 on 1 section I will have a look. Then based off that I can see if we need to do a cloud update.
Statix
Fraser, can you briefly explain what a cloud update is, and why it is necessary?
Statix
More to report Just ran a few matches with my isp's router and the game felt great! What settings do you use on your ISP's router? Do you use DMZ? Do you forward any ports? What about QoS settings? UPnP enabled?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 20, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 20, 2016 Fraser, can you briefly explain what a cloud update is, and why it is necessary? Cloud updates keep the Geo-filter up to date. For example, it can add any new dedicated servers or whitelisted servers (servers required just to connect to XBL/PSN etc) and update incorrectly located servers.
