Paul H
Can anyone help? I have my netduma running with a SKY Fibre router. I only have a moderate NAT Type on BO3 and I'm trying to get an open NAT. I've tried putting the PS4 into the DMZ of the Sky router but still I have a moderate NAT. I've also tried putting the Duma in the DMZ, with the same result. Any ideas? Does my NAT type really make enough difference to worry about it? Thanks,
e38BimmerFN
The following configuration should be tested: ISP ONT router>NetDuma R1 router and it's WAN IP address it gets from the ISP router placed in the ISP routers DMZ<>PS4 connected to the R1. Don't place the PS4 in any DMZ on the R1. Since you are in a double NAT condition, you probably wont achieve OpenNAT due to this. OpenNAT will be seen if you connect the PS4 to the ISP modem I presume. http://www.practicallynetworked.com/networking/fixing_double_nat.htm If you can get this working in this configuration, Moderate NAT will be the best you can achieve and wouldn't be something to worry about. As long and you have good bandwidth, speeds and ping times, you'll be fine for gaming. BO3 is overly critical on it's NAT detection and can be very hard to get OPEN even with single NAT conditions let alone with multiples of game consoles being online at the same time.
