Lucid__Ghost
So I was messing in my settings last night and making sure I had the latest software updated, when my router spazzed out and stopped giving wifi signals. The only setting I changed that I had never touched before was changing from 2.4 GHz to 5ghz. I didn't know what it did, so I curiously selected it to see if I could notice the change and poof I'm out of a wifi connection. However, I did have an Ethernet cable running straight from my netduma to my ps4 and it still had internet running to it fine. I know that in the same settings tab there is an option for wired connections only and I do not believe I had selected that. I tried pressing the reset button on the router itself but no help. My laptop picks up the router but I cannot connect. There is no green light that is lit up beside the wifi symbol on the router. Is this router salvageable or should I get a new netduma all together? I am no tech guy but I try to work things out. Help me please
Lucid__Ghost
I couldn't even type the IP into the search engine to edit my r1 settings after I messed it all up. My laptop would tell me "could not load the webpage"
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 29, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 29, 2016 The 5Ghz option doesn't work on the Netduma. Changing it back to 2.4Ghz should give you back Wifi. You said you pressed the reset button on the back which means the new wifi name should be 'Netduma R1' and the password should be 'netdumar1'. It also sounds like you are on an older version (the 5Ghz option was removed) so you can look at how to upgrade here. If you can't access the dashboard through a device connected via Ethernet then please read this.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 30, 2016 Administrators Share Posted August 30, 2016 That should work, otherwise reset using the button at the back of the router. Once reset the wireless password will have changed to "netdumar1".
