Ru2u
So I just purchased a VPN from PrivateInternetAccess and wanted to setup the VPN-Hybrid on my gaming pc. From my understanding, if setup properly VPN-Hybrid will route all my normal pc traffic like browser activity thru the VPN but all my gaming traffic like CS:GO will bypass the VPN and go thru my normal IP. I have a fast connection of 177MB down and 12MB up. Here come the questions: 1) I hear Deep Packet Processing needs to be enabled for the Hybrid to work but I also hear it needs to be disabled when you have speeds over 60MB, which I do have. So how do I get around this without killing my connection and still benefit from using my VPN 2) If I setup the VPN on my Netduma and select the devices I want it to be applied to does that mean I should disable the VPN client on that device locally? I currently have the VPN software installed on each of my computers. 3) If the VPN is setup and enabled for individual devices in Netduma VPN section how do you change server locations? With the client app for PrivateInternetAccess all I need to do is right click the icon and select a different server and it switches me within a few seconds. If its enabled on the client side wouldn't that conflict with the Netduma Hybrid settings and force all my traffic thru the VPN? 4) If the Hybrid is setup on my Netduma for my Gaming pc with source exception and I go to download a torrent on that pc will the traffic route properly thru the VPN or do I need to disable the exception? Right now I'm still getting amazing speeds and ping with my VPN running at all times on my Gaming pc so not sure what benefits if any there are to installing it on my Netduma. Slipknot31286sic6
Far as I know deep packet must be off and turbo be on for speeds you have. Do a speed test to confirm this. I think you might even need super turbo if you still aren't achieving. I have pia myself. I run it through router only on pc. Won't work on Ps4. I have the configuration file just have to copy, paste, enter your username and password. Took me a while to figure out as the pia site is wrong. Jus a heads up. Their copy if the Servers are right but configuration file is wrong for netduma. Also using pia I get like 20 download on server I use. Never seen higher and ping is like 80 plus. Not sure you'd wanna game on that. Some it's OK but being used to 17-30ms ping. Then going to over a 100 is a huge difference if you run n gun. Camping u won't notice. Slipknot31286sic6
Yes for exception. You click on device you want to add. Manually add ports for your games or services under your VPN. Obviously Google ports for your specific needs to use hybrid

I think super turbo is only for speeds over 300MB. Yes I have turbo on and DPP off because of my speeds but according to a Netduma video I saw regarding VPN-Hybrid you must turn DPP on for it to work which conflicts with my speed requirement to have it off. I ran CS:GO last night and I normally get around 36ms ping without a VPN and now with it I get around the same. I'm assuming because the VPN server I'm on is in New York City which is close to my normal location so without the VPN I'd prob be on a CS:GO server near New York as well. edit: I just did a speedtest with DPP on and off. DPP off: 130MB down DPP on: 48MB down

You would have to choose one or the other. Yes there is no need to have the VPN running twice. You should either use the feature on the router or on the software on the PC. Not both. You would have to change the server in the config file and then reapply. Yes it would. You shouldn't have it enabled on your PC as well. It would go through the VPN. I'd say just stick with what you're doing currently if it works for you just fine.
