War_Prophecy Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 Hey everyone, I was having issues with connection, so I removed excess devices from my R1. I accidentally removed my PS4, rebooted everything and now I can't get my the R1 to recognize my PS4. The strangest thing about it, is my PS4 is online and I'm able to play Destiny no problem. Any Ideas how to get it to recognize it again so I can use the GEO? Thanks for the help.
Dillinger Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 I am going to assume that you have the PS4 hard wired in, but how many other devices are hard wired? Are you able to go to the Device Manager, identify the hard wired devices outside of the PS4? If not, un-plug the hard lines for the other devices and the one that is left, is your PS4. If in doubt, you can experiment by merely blocking the hard wired device in question to determine if that is the PS4. Once you have confirmed it, identify it accordingly, put the console in the Hyper Lane and set up the Playstation network for that device. Go to the Geo screen and you should be able to select it and enable, which should give you the Geo filter back.
War_Prophecy Posted August 17, 2016 Author Posted August 17, 2016 There is only 2 hardwired devices. One is my PC, the other is my PS4. In devices it's showing my PC is Hardwired and nothing else. Yes, everything is correctly connected. It's very odd I know, but something isn't right.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 18, 2016 Administrators Posted August 18, 2016 Hey, welcome to the forum! Go to DHCP lease, do you see it appear there? Then go to Geo-filter, can you select it from devices/services?
War_Prophecy Posted August 18, 2016 Author Posted August 18, 2016 Yes, after several reboots and changing my PS4 IP it is now appearing. However, when I turn on the GEO it wont connect online.
