soakes76
Hi guys I have an issue with my PIA VPN blocking my IPTV provider. I put the host in the 'Exceptions' list. This worked perfect for a few days but has now stopped? I deleted the host and re added, restarted the VPN, rebooted the Duma but nothing seems to work? Any ideas would be appreciated. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 12, 2016 Administrators Share Posted August 12, 2016 What host are you putting in? Is it possible that has changed recently?
soakes76
The host I am putting in was working then suddenly stopped, as soon as I turn the VPN off it connects with no problems. I've sent you a pm with the details I'm entering in the Duma. Thanks
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 15, 2016 Administrators Share Posted August 15, 2016 Sorry for the late reply. I couldn't find anything about it online. Go ahead and try a factory reset from misc settings. If that doesn't work we can have a 1 on 1 and I'll take a look.
Slipknot31286sic6
Idk who you are using for iptv. I also using pia for someone reason it's kicking me off as well or massive buffering. I think it's on pia side not Duma. But Idk if you are using kodi? Which uses its own proxy which conflicts with pia it seems.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 17, 2016 Administrators Share Posted August 17, 2016 I just had a thought, ensure turbo mode is off and switch between the preemptive/reactive algorithm, does it behave like it should then?
soakes76
I just had a thought, ensure turbo mode is off and switch between the preemptive/reactive algorithm, does it behave like it should then? Tried that Fraser no luck. I think Slipknot is correct in saying PIA seems to be the issue blocking my IPTV which I use on via Kodi on my iphone, ipad, PC as well as an enigma2 linux box ( via a plugin in not Kodi). All work perfect until I switch VPN on. Question is, why the 'exceptions' stopped working?
Slipknot31286sic6
From my experience, u shouldn't have to use VPN on kodi. They are getting smarter and using proxy now. I notice alpha, pulse, uktv now, Cypher, sky, all load proxy before you connect. I think proxy is counter acting who ever iptv proxy the add on is using. Because exodus and specto work fine. Just iptv.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 18, 2016 Administrators Share Posted August 18, 2016 Do you have the Geo-filter on at the same time by any chance?
Slipknot31286sic6
The iptv is on usually amazon fire stick not Xbox or ps4. So the geo filter shouldn't matter. I wonder since pia on a good day is 10meg down and up. If the download speed isn't enough. So far best answer turn off pia when using kodi. But since you brought that up does geo filter affect other devices on my network when on even tho I only have ps4 enabled? Hasn't on anything to my knowledge
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 19, 2016 Administrators Share Posted August 19, 2016 My thought was that perhaps the IPTV was selected in the Geo-filter and with it being on could cause an issue like this. Devices on the Geo-filter wouldn't affect each other.
