Cajun72
After reading another users post it may me think, is my HH5 router (plusnet hub one) a type A or B as I saw type A does not fully support G.INP which is best I think as the cabinet I am connecting to is a Huawei 288 FTTC cabinet. I cannot find what type this is on the box it came with or by googling anywhere, this is all I could find on the login page: Plusnet Hub One | Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.217.1.1 What I want to know please is that depending on what type of HH5 router this is (type A or am I better off connecting my old BT openreach modem which is a ECI telecom model B-Focus V2fub/r Rev B. (I have seen some poor feedback on this though). Or is it worth spending money on a Huawei EchoLife HG612 3B VDSL/FTTC Fibre Modem? Thanks in anticipation. Zennon
It is a re-branded HH5 A http://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2015/11/uk-isp-plusnet-launch-new-hub-one-fibre-router-and-self-install-fttc.html What are your base pings ?
Cajun72
Hi Z Thought it might be type A. just ran the test and my base ping which ranges from only 11.7 to no higher than 12.9ms so very good although I suspect the PN modem/router reboots often. Zennon
Well it looks like you are on fast path anyway, the only time i would say jump to a G.inp modem is if you had 20+ pings on interleaving. Your good to go, stick with what is working for your connection.
