SM961
Cmd Trace says I have 0 packet loss but pingplotter says what? can anybody tell me what's going on here why two different results? Ping statistics for 8.8.8.8: Packets: Sent = 100, Received = 100, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 24ms, Maximum = 40ms, Average = 25ms
Zennon
CMD is showing you 16ms jitter and no packet loss on the destination IP As long as the the graph at the bottom does not show red lines and the destination does not show packet loss then the router at hop 3 is being flaky or it could be the cause of the jitter as it is overloaded or a router using a different CPU path for TTL=0 packets than it does for routing data through. I would keep and eye on it over a few nights if it persists you could tell them about it. You have in this instance 16ms jitter.

SM961
Zennon, I followed your advice and got myself Uverse , now I get constant A+,A+B on bufferbloat speed test which is much better than cable in my opinion, I had Charter for 6 years.Today a tech is coming to replace my modem/router because the new modem that they sent me didn't work, good thing the technician in charge of activating my internet was still outside my house and I was able to tell him that that my new modem didn't work, so he replaced it with a used one, but the issue that I have now with the used modem is that the ethernet ports are worn out, so I called at&t to see if I could have the modem replaced again and so they offer me to send a technician again to drop off a new modem and now everything is all good. Sure will keep a eye on my connection, thanks for the great advice.
