Hawaii install

Recommended Posts

So i just installed the R1 like it said on the paper and only hardwired the R1 to my modem and two wires from the R1 to my desktop and Xbox1 but it's saying it's an unidentified network and wont connect to the internet. What am i doing wrong? Even tried the address to log in the router from my browser but nothing is working.

It sounds like your computer may have a firewall or similar blocking your connection. Can you try connecting to the router using another device e.g. phone / your Xbox so we can isolate where the blockage is.

Ok to keep things simple I would recommend doing this.

Go to host filtering page.

  • Set your ping assist to 110ms.
  • Make sure strict mode is enabled.
  • At the top of the page "select service" and choose your xbox/playstation click "Next" then choose "Xbox live PA/Playstation network PA" and click done
  • Then click on the house then click on Hawaii
  • Then set your distance to 3035km

This is an old picture, but the distance circle should look something like this for you:

I would recommend doing

Wall <-> modem <-> r1 <-> all other devices

Unless you have a reason for doing so. Make sure the xbox has automatic iP settings as well.

is the xbox wired or wireless?

If its wireless remember that the password must be uppercase.
