gjziborgj
Me and my family recently move to a new city and the only 2 devices we have is my modem surfboard sb6141 and my router that i just bought Netduma r1 , i realized that the only way i get nat type 1 on my ps4 console is when i connect my ps4 directly to my modem but sometimes my family need to use internet, so when i connected back to my netduma i get nat type 2 , my question is, is there any possible solution on how to configure and put nedtuma on nat on type 1 without having another router? PharmDawgg
Nat type 2 isn't bad. All it means is that your PS4 if behind a router. That's all. The only way to get around it I believe is to put your PS4 in the R1's DMZ which I hate to say it does not have. So the answer to your question is no. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 21, 2016 Administrators Share Posted March 21, 2016 NAT Type 2 is essentially open so I wouldn't worry about it at all. As said above it just means you're connected behind a router.
