Alex49H Posted March 13, 2016 Share Posted March 13, 2016 This modem has an issue and causes high ping spikes. Arris is aware of it and is working on a fix. It could take up to a year to get it. I have it but don't use it anymore because of that issue. Makes gaming bad and whenever you run the Internet diagnostics in your Duma you will get varied results from all exceptional depending on your line to good ping and terrible spikes and jitter. I now have reverted back to my sb6141. By the time the 6190 is fixed and the firmware gets pushed to us by the ISP's, it will be the end of this year at best. By then better choices and something 3.1 will be just as suitable and more future proof anyway.
