Ryan
So currently my set up is Wall – ISP modem – main/home router – Netduma R1. By having this my R1 router is only acting as a repeater. I can't access its default IP (192.168.88.1) as the only IP available I can access is the main/home router. Is there anyway I can access my Netduma to take full advantage of its abilities? Or do I need to put the Netduma into a DMZ and if so how do I do that?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 8, 2016 Administrators Share Posted March 8, 2016 The device you are trying to access the R1 on, is it connected to the R1 or main router? With that setup you wouldn't be able to take full advantage of the duma. Would recommend modem > R1 > (main router if needed) otherwise all devices connected to R1
iAmMoDBoX
If you are connected to your main router with the device you are trying to use to access your R1 then you would have to find out what IP the main router is assigning the R1 and also enable "Access from WAN" in misc settings on the R1. This is not the ideal way to run it. The best thing to do is Modem>R1>anything else.
