mazingerz Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 if i disable my router wifi that means that the netduma get all the internet signal trough my router
Dillinger Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Assuming you don't have anything else plugged into the router, and you don't have another router in series upstream? Yes, this should result in all your internet speed going to the console. However gaming does not require a lot of bandwidth, which is one of the big features this router gives you. You can use Hyper Lane and prioritize your game packets while other household members are using the internet. Was there a specific reason you are trying to feed 100% of the internet into the game console?
mazingerz Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 the say if the internet goes trough the router to netduma you will use it 100% potential

When you say it doesn't use a lot of bandwith with Hyper Lane enabled what would you set the up/down device prioritization to for the Xbox?
Dillinger Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 When you say it doesn't use a lot of bandwith with Hyper Lane enabled what would you set the up/down device prioritization to for the Xbox? That would depend on how much traffic you have in your house when you are gaming. I personally have (1) other user in the house, my wife, and she usually has two devices going. OCD is a bitch in our house... As such, I just use the Hyper Lane for what console I am playing on, set my sliders, and leave the device priority even. If you are feeling froggy and want to hog some bandwidth, make it double the number for everything else in the circle. I don't suspect you are going to see a ton of difference, given how Hyper Lane works, but it would be a good test for you.

Sounds exactly the same as my house, only difference is I love turning my gf's iPhone bandwith down to 0% when she annoys me
Dillinger Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 the say if the internet goes trough the router to netduma you will use it 100% potential I am not sure of the context. If nothing else is connected (able to get online and do "stuff") then your NetDuma would be getting 100% of the available internet. From there you could provision it as you see fit. All of the internet going to the game console. Some of it, 50% of it, whatever you feel you need. Does that help?
