nexgen
Hello, I recently got a netduma and loving it thus far. One problem is I changed internet service and have a new modem. My DL speed is 100mbps and upload of 10mbps. The speeds are fine when hardwired to the netduma or modem directly. The problem is with wifi....the speeds, while good....are not even close to what I should be getting. Via WiFi, I am getting about 40-50mbps download and about 5-7 mbps upload. Any ideas or suggestions on what to try to get these speeds up? Many thanks in advance!!
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted February 9, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted February 9, 2016 Hey Nexen, welcome to the forum I'm not sure if it will be possible for you to get anything more than that though the Netduma. You could try using one of these tools to find the best channel and see if that increases your speeds at all.
nexgen
Thanks! I did a wifi analyzer and I am on channel 7 with not much interference...I'll try a few more things to get the speeds up but so far wifi isn't producing the speeds I should be getting. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 9, 2016 Administrators Share Posted February 9, 2016 Welcome to the forum! As Crossy said you may not be able to get higher than what your currently are. I did manage to get slightly higher than that when I was close to the router.
nexgen
What is the reason for this? Is this a limitation of the netduma wifi? Or wifi in general? My router is only about 10 ft max away from my computer...and it is directly in front of the computer.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 11, 2016 Administrators Share Posted February 11, 2016 I believe it may be a mixture of both. As theoretically N should be able to achieve 300mbps
