WampaFett
Does this render a lot of the Netduma features and options null? I live in Florida, USA and my clan mates live in Manchester, UK and Wales. If there is a way I can play with them and still reap the benefits of the R1? So many of the optimal settings make it so I cannot play with my clan mates or even hear them in chat.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 26, 2016 Administrators Share Posted January 26, 2016 Hey, you will need to add your friends to the allow list, you can see how to do that here. I would usually say to put the Geo-filter in between you but as you are very far apart with the ocean between you this won't be possible. You can keep your location close to you so that you can guarantee a local host for you, but they will have a high ping due to distance.
TEH BUTCHER
To answer your question bluntly. Yes if you're playing with them either the host will be good for them and bad for you or good for you and bad for them. It's the same thing in the states with east vs west coast however not quite as bad. With that said all the congestion features would still benefit you if you're on a network with a lot of traffic etc but no amount of technology can change the speed of light.
