Ping Issue

Hello everyone,

My issue is a little bit different, my connection has a 70Mbps Down and 4Mbps Up.

My location is Bahrain, Manama.

When I ping speedtest I get a 15ms Ping.

However connecting to servers *closest to me is europe - I end up with 100+ Ping always. Never Below 100.

I can host when I set my location to 2000Kms and below and I would end up pulling in players from my country which is fine.

I am wondering if there is any way of getting a better ping with servers. Closest server to me is approx. 4000Kilometers .

Here is my R1 Internet Diagnosis:

Ping        Jitter       Spikes      PacketLoss

Terrible   Good      Good        No Loss

Unfortunately not. Its purely a distance vs speed of light thing. Servers are located too far to give you a lower ping ( even the nearest Google server would appear to also be Europe - that's what the netduma uses for its diagnostic test).

Unfortunately if you want lower pings then you being lucky as host or connecting to a local p2p host is only way.
