I can get the team to take a look at the eth delay. It might be you need to re-adjust your QoS settings on this version as it's a bit of a jump from .170 so the same settings may not apply. If you haven't factory reset in awhile as well that would likely help

Done a bufferbloat test was A* and I do factory reset after changing any firmware

    Thanks for the feedback:

    1. By taking ages to register do you mean if you turn on a device it takes a little while for it to get a connection? If so how long? Can you get the logs when you get a disconnect please?
    2. We're aware we need to do more work on IPv6
    3. What is your ping to these games?

Did you do a factory reset after upgrading to this one?

When fully restarting the thing it’ll start up and load absolutely fine however anything connected via Ethernet will take a minute or 2 to connect. The R2 never had this delay with direct connection.

I gathered that why I’ve left it off

no ping stays the same in game 8-12ms however the whole feel feels very off. It’s like im trying to shoot 1 second behind my opponent. I don’t know how to describe it other than sever input delay. This is the worst firmware for this. .170 runs very crisp when it comes to in game responsiveness but only problem I find with .170 is it locks up after 24 hours. If that bug wasn’t there .170 is exactly where it’s meant to be at.

  3. Evening all,

    Currently running .219. Issues are:

1-Ethernet ports taking ages to register devices / losing connection

2-Upnp still bugged with ipv6 enabled

3-button delay is off the scale on all games

connection type. Pppoe BT Fttp 500mb wired

its getting ridiculous now. Gaming is completely unplayable in these conditions

    @SamT98Did ya check new version?

Yes still no better with crashing and qos bugs with speeds declining. Currently running latest firmware. Still getting the same logs as previous with hybrid vpn looping every 5 mins then it locks up after 6 hours or so. Can’t even access logs when it fully locks up as the router doesn’t register anything plugged into the Ethernet port 🤷‍♂️

I'm no pro but looking at the log it loops every five minutes. There's a bit that says something about a hybrid vpn looks as though it trys a few times fails then disconnects wan. I was gonna compair with my logs but an unknown error occurred. And I can't get in. Go figure lol

I don’t use hybrid vpn though so I can’t see that being an issue. I have it turned off 🤷‍♂️

Use upnp for now till next firmware, from my experience using dmz/port forward causes issues with login and crashes it after awhile. I use to get crashes every other day till i switched to upnp, router has not crashed for 2 months, i hope next firmware fixes issue because i want to use port forward instead of upnp. As for internet speeds degrading turn off smartqos for 10 seconds then turn on again and network speeds will be back to normal, no need to restart router, i hear this issue will also be fixed next firmware.

Ok thanks for the info. So I guess port forwarding doesn’t work either? I would have manually port forwarded if I wasn’t going to use DMZ. I think smaller qos shouldn’t be tied in with ping optimizer. Without smart qos the whole thing would be simpler. Unfortunately turning that off makes most of the features useless.

Okay so what was the exact issue you were experiencing at this time?

Router locking up on WiFi speeds getting worse and worse as time goes along eventually it’ll come to a halt and have to reboot. Gameplay getting progressively worse and needs a restart. The games start jittering and frame dropping. A restart fixes this for a few hours before it eventually returns and the UI locking up with internal error message on both the web page and IOS app.

  8. Here are the logs, I havent a clue here how to read it correctly so someone with more in depth knowledge should be able to with ease.

     my current set up is:

1-Reserved PS5 IP address into DHCP

    2-DMZ the PS5

3-Congestion control set at 100mb download 50mb upload with 75% for download and 83% for upload. A+ for bufferbloat test.

Befferbloat test on waveform: UPLOADED 11ms DOWNLOAD ACTIVE 0ms & UPLOAD ACTIVE 0ms

cant get any better than that!

    4-Advanced Ping Settings:

A-Run full test is switched to the OFF POSITION

B-Ping Optimizer Mode set to EXPERT

C-Congestion Control Mode set to ALWAYS ON

D-Speed Test Bypass switched to the OFF POSITION

5-Disabled UPNP as I'm using DMZ

If someone could help it will be much appreciated

Try the .170 version, a lot of people seem to like that one but generally if you have issues like this providing us with the logs will help

Out of the ones I’ve tried the one I haven’t seems to be the one lol. I’ll give that a go an if not then I’ll provide logs on here.

  10. I’ve tried .23, .40, .41, .147 and .179

all of the above have all common problems that I’m facing:

    1- Disconnects from WiFi randomly

2- Duma software crashing every 24hours on IOS or web browser with errors such as internal server error or infinite loading times on UI interface

3- Geo filter not working correctly or registering previously blocked servers. It’s like it completely forgets what I’ve told it to do. Sync the cloud doesn’t seem to do much for me other than caus the allow/deny to completely reset.

4- Overheating but seems to be fully fixed after .40 update

the rest stated seem to be still present in all updates. I’ve tried multiple things such as flashing back to .23 fully resetting and re downloading each firmware on top of .23 to see different results. I just cant seem to get anything clicking and am struggling so much trying to compete at the top end of gaming. Yesterday on .179 on a FUT Champs game I got randomly kicked off servers to deny me a 16-4 finish. I got kicked off 3 times last weekend as-well whereas this wasn’t happening on any of the other firmwares but the others are not useable because of some other issue. Can someone help me here please. I’ve tried literally everything the last 4 months and starting to lose my patience a little here.

Servers aren't hardcoded to the router, they're likely not currently available. I haven't seen any jittering reports like the previous issue, are you experiencing it on every game?

No I get that but the server doesn’t appear on the map at all. Even if it’s not available the server should still be on the map. It’s the London server for FC 24
