  1. Yep, seems that way. Going to keep it as is. Cheers Fraser
  2. I think i have done a doo-doo somewhere... I watched a guide, and it recommended to turn off IPv6 in the DumaOS - i saved - and then after 5 minutes everything that was connected to thr R2 lost network and now wont come back online - had to switch laptop over to other router to post this. ( i have re-enabled it since and saved but no luck with getting back online - is this bad?) EDIT: Did a total unplug and replug with routers and im back up. Oops - ill just leave ipv6 ticked.
  3. sorry, forgot to add to this: shall i keep 'always' or 'auto enable on'?
  4. Brilliant, brilliant! That's great then. Thanks a lot!
  5. 85% download and 90% upload, these were the results. I'm happy with that, unless you think i could make it even better?
  6. Great will do that until i can get the ping test under load spike as low as possible. Cheers!
  7. I ran auto setup and this is what it has set it at, so basically just reduce the slider for download percentage and keep running that test until i can eliminate/reduce the ping spike?
  8. Will do it as soon as i get off this game and ill do it fresh. Over wifi or connected to ethernet? As my laptop is always wireless and never used wired. Does that mater?
  9. I did a test for my QoS and this is what it shows. Anything I should change or do? I've looked up online and here to determine what exactly QoS does, so i'm not super sure on it, but at least i would like to have mine as good as it can be.
  10. Will do, and you too, good sir! Thanks
  11. Okay great. Will do this then. Thanks for all the help mate. Hopefully I will not have to pick your brain for a while haha! Cheers
  12. Ah, right, Thank for that. I was going to do a post actually about this. If i want my friend in whatever country to host the game - do i simply just turn Filtering Mode off while we're in the lobby, or back out first and unfilter, then join? - even with my radius and that set? Or do i need to polygon around only their location? This is what i was trying to figure out. We'll be going backwrds and fourth between EU and NA when the next CoD comes out, so would like to know the right way to be able to do this. Leave everything as is, but just turn Filtering off?
  13. My USA friend is the host of our lobby, so we can play some Warzone in NA, but we have been unable to find a match, it just constantly searching for a match and taking a very long time - it started 'Looking for match" at "20ms ping" - so im assuming even with him hosting, its somehow not allowing me to go to NA? I drew Polygon around UK and some of EU and then over his state which actually has a server - is this correct? Ive kept ping assist on 0. Trying to find out why when He hosts, it still puts us in my zone sometimes, and vice versa.
  14. Ok - one of our friends dropped out - and weve got a random 4th on our team - and this icon poped up - not sure how to tell if its the guy on our team or not, but at least one icon has shown. EDIT: our teammate is in England, so its weird how he is not appearing but someone in seemingly France is.. Is all of this normal or is something not right happening in my Geo Filter
  15. No we are already in an Xbox party, we stay in it always unless im backing out to do the test: In party > load game > invite mate to lobby. For some reason, people joining my game lobby doesnt seem to be pinging anything.. I'm playing Warzone with 1 person from USA, 1 London, and one Sctoland - (on pc, playstation, and xbox) so using game chat. No icons have popped for them at all
  16. We just tried this, loaded up CoD, and each time he joined my game lobby, nothing popped up at all, however, all of these icons popped up again when i joined his Xbox Party. So when we join eachothers game lobby, there's nothing, but only when we join a party on xbox or a discord server. And still, there is no player icon showing in his state, only blocked players around USA. Also can you see the overlapping icons again in my radius, no matter how far i zoom in, im only able to click on one of them (not sure if this maters or not) -- and the icon where my beam is coming out from, i have not seen that before, is it normal?
  17. Yup. There was nothing showing at all except for that circled server in my radius - soon as i joined the Xbox Party, not discord, all those Blocked Player, and Server icons appear.
  18. Okay. And i tried again, but this time loads of Blocked Player Icons appeared in all different states, none of which he is from. By the time i got to zoom into one, they all disappeared. Apologies if I'm missing something. My friend is in Alabama - the state with the X on it, nothing pops up there, or has popped up there since I have had him joining. I must add - i did have a 'peer' 'allowed' - but obviously the allowed player is not showing in that location - so i deleted it - rejoined - and still no icon popped in his location. Again, sorry if im missing something.
  19. I turned auto ping host off and waited a minute then rejoined, but his icon (i assume its his) overlapped with a Dedicated Server icon, which i wasn't able to Deny, i guess we can't deny dedi servers? - not sure what that server is for - but im on CoD Campaign atm. So i wasn't able to click his icon, it just kept clicking the dedi server icon. EDIT: Added image
  20. Semi-unrelated - (we've touched on this within this thread) but im on the CoD campaign, and my friend from the US (same one ive been playing Battlefield with) joined my Xbox party- and it he appeared near his state as 'Blocked Player' - I tried to click on it but as Auto Ping Host was on, it didn't let me - and it did not appear in the Ping List. How can I see history/get him to pop up again to allow him (even though he's still in the party) - as it wasn't letting us connect properly for a little while. Shall i leave party, turn auto ping off, and rejoin maybe? Would just like to get him hard locked as an allow - so he'll be recognised for all future sessions, hopefully.
  21. Okay - will report back when i next go on PUBG and do the thing! Cheers, Fraser.
  22. Ah, we was in a Discord server while initially playing, so i guess that must have been what that was then. (still learning what all the icons and things are!) Okay, next time something like that happens, ill turn AutoPing off and then ping that server to see what's happening. Will send over ID if so. hm, I'm not sure I we did wait 2 minutes. Should i do this in the future? Once ive connected to friends and allowed them (if any of them pop on the map, as they don't always) - turn Filtering back on - then wait 2 mins and search - correct? So I've got this right - before i launch game, i turn Filtering of > launch game > invite friend > allow/whitelist them if possible - turn Filtering back on > wait 2 mins > search game?
  23. Sorry for late reply! Hm, interesting, I actually didn't block any servers - unless one of the authentications servers is outside of my polygon radius? An Authentication server would be one with a solid white online around it right? I'll retry again when im next on. Shall i turn off auto-ping or Filtering mode while booting the game up so that i can see where the Auth server is and allow it? If none of this works - then i guess "The other thing that could be happening is they have some system that blocks people from outside the US connecting to the servers, hence why it works with a VPN as it appears you're in the US." - this might be the case. I'll report back once ive tested. Cheers!
  24. I'm having a few hiccups with the Geo Filtering and I'm not sure what I am doing wrong - may be something simple. Just trying to get the understanding of it dialed in. So, Im playing Battlefield with two mates from USA, while im in EU - I start a game party - have Auto Ping Host and Filtering mode disabled - then invite my 2 friends - only one of them appeared on the map, though the player icon showed in a different state to where he actually was, and when the 'Peer' connection appeared in the Ping list, their ping was only 19ms, which doesnt seem right. Adding to this, when we loaded into a match (i was party leader) we was on their servers - with 78ms ping. So then i made my USA friend host, and it then put us in MY server.. So I'm just getting a little confused on why it is acting like this. I am likely just not setting the right things, i guess. So, If i have my radius in EU, set at 600m, and ping assist 0 - this should make sure anyone who joins my party/lobby comes over to my servers, right? As long as I have 'Allowed' each player? Most of the time my friends do not appear on the map - but as we've previously discussed - i think Battlefield just works like this sometimes with friends/servers. note: I had my radius in the ocean with a Ping Assist of 20 at the time - so is this the cause, maybe? First image: Why is it showing me a Ping Assist server in NA, im sure that is way out of my ping assist range? I have no servers whitelisted either. Possibly my friends peer icon - though his ping was 19ms to me? Confused on this one too.
