Xr500 router constantly uploading
DroneMan replied to DroneMan's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It shows it in the router on the mobile interface. It's always only upload that is being used. Also I'm not convinced it doesn't work properly on xr500 as if I do a speedtest or cloud sync i can see the router usage spike up on both upload and download so it seems it is definitely reading something -

It says nothing, not showing any usage that corresponds to what it is showing for router in the app -

Ok so have been monitoring this since I rebooted, the router is constantly uploading it started at 0.02mb but is now upto 0.37mb, is constant and is going up. What on earth is it uploading? -

Ok it's doing it again but this time only at 0.02mb... is this normal behaviour? Where would it be uploading to constantly? -

So I powered down and back up and it stopped. No devices were uploading anything no. Could it have been a malicious attack? -

When I look on network activity on my dumaos companion app on my XR500, the router itself is constantly uploading something. Is this a bug? What on earth is going on?

NEW XR500 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535
DroneMan replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
My router just says dumaos not running no matter what I do. I've tried Hard 30/30/30 reset with button. Reset via adv_index Refresh firmware via adv_index None work, router will always say dumaos not running. How can I recover from this? Also my router is still serving traffic so if dumaos is not running, what is doing this? Is my router running with zero firewall etc -

NEW XR500 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535
DroneMan replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It's a bit pathetic that I have to disable QOS on this latest firmware otherwise random domains just start timing out. I'm not the only one to report this issue either. Have you given up on this router then now? I was going to buy the new Duma router but what is the point. It's probably likely to have unacceptable bugs that never get fixed if this router is anything to go by -

Can I just simply flash the original firmware and then back again? -

So there will be no fix for dns timing out when QOS is enabled? I read an old post where it said downgrade to original firmware , do a factory reset then upgrade again, maybe that might fix it? -

So is that it for this firmware then? QOS is completely broken for me, even after rebooting and resetting the router, I have to leave it off or domains just start timing out. Was looking at getting duma r3 but what's the point if stuff just stays broken forever, don't have much confidence in it -

No absolutely nothing. For now I have to just leave QOS disabled. It's weird how the issue persists even after a factory reset -

So even with a factory reset, I get the QOS issue instantly, twitch was non responsive unless disabling QOS -
