Good advice above! We'll be doing more cloud updates including addressing the Oklahoma servers always appearing

adro reacted to Netduma Fraser in I need help with the geo-filter for Battlefield 6.
We're working on some cloud updates currently specifically for BF6 so this will be improved upon and should be more accurate overall. It will resolve the annoying Oklahoma issue also. Once done they'll be pushed to your router automatically, you don't have to do anything

I’m experiencing another issue where matching is not working properly. Occasionally, it does match, but most of the time, it seems to fail. When I checked the geofilter settings, I had set the geofence to the U.S. West Coast region, but it says it matched with a server in Oklahoma, which is outside the geofence, and the matching still doesn’t work. Could you please suggest any solutions for this? One notable detail is that when matching works, it shows a server within the U.S. West Coast region set by the geofilter, but when it doesn’t work, it always indicates a connection to an Oklahoma city server.

Please reboot the router, wait 4 minutes then access and see if it continues please, we did make a change.
If that doesn't help then disable DPI under the Congestion Control menu and that should resolve it.
|Otherwise do try the beta - Added
If it was ready for the public then we would make it available. DumaOS 4 already has the capability to do updates from the interface, making a completely separate DumaOS 3 update to do that would be unneccessary. The point of Early Access is it is available for those who want to try a firmware that isn't ready to be made publicly available and so are willing to put up with more bugs/issues and to provide feedback that will help the team, allowing people to auto update to it would go against that.
I've added you as well.

Honestly it's driving me insane it's off right now as we speak. Factory reset does nothing, plugging out doesn't work and changing the lease time doesn't. It's a DHCP error. Constant disconnects every day for about 8 days. I even bought new cables thinking it was me, now I know it's not. Literally get on for about 5 minutes, off for 15/20 back on, back off. Sick of it really.

Seems to be a major issue @Netduma Fraser, a statement from Netduma on the product breaking stealth cloud update would be appreciated.
Why isn't DumaOS v4 public yet for R2?
There are other ways to make users upgrade to DumaOS v4, such as adding a new firmware available modal or a link/button to v4 in the dashboard itself via cloud update, the ux would be much better instead of having to request access via the forum in my opinion.

adro reacted to Beers in Constant Disconnects, both web page and dumOS fail to load
Hello, multiple times a day my R2 will drop internet for no reason. Web pages won’t load for 10 min during this time and neither will the dumOS. After awhile things load up again but this never used to happen. I contacted my internet and it wasn’t on their end.

Thanks for the report, I've passed it onto the team who have now removed that cloud update which will hopefully resolve it, please reboot the router from the interface, wait 4 minutes and then resync the cloud and let us know if that has resolved it.
I've also given you Early Access to the DumaOS 4 beta, if it continues please see if this version stops it happening.

I'm having the same issue as some others have said. I have an R2 with the latest firmware, plugged into my ISPs router already in bridge mode, and I get these random disconnects about once per hour. I attached my log. I've had the R2 since it came out and never had these issues until recently. I use QOS at 70% down 90% up and do not use HybridVPN.

Oh look, another "SIGSEGV" error that everybody including me is having all of a sudden!
-

@Netduma Fraser It can't be a coincidence that we are all getting the same memory related crash (sending SIGSEGV to dpiclass for invalid read access from 00000000). The router was working fine for me since early 2023 and suddenly everybody is getting this error.

Interesting, that's the same error as mine! Other R2 users have also reported issues recently, but their topics have been moved to the private troubleshooting section and I can't verify if they have the same error as us.
I have disconnected my bricked router for now. Waiting for a response from Netduma.
