  1. To clarify. Just sitting in a lobby with multiple teamates in chat, not even playing, the packets skyrocket

Dont think ping is the issue tbh. Ping makes no sense. Being in AB single player best games come from a game assist server beside me in Sask. The ingame ping is 60 and the geo ping is 50-70.

My worst experiences are on geo ping of 30 and in game of 27-29.

As for multiplayer, some guys we play w are in Vancouver and show 10 ping yet they can barely skate faster than us AB guys on 30.

Anyway, it seems like one player on the team is the reason the packets register like crazy. When hes not in party chat, the packets are way slower. Any ideas what might cause this? Even when he resets it doesn't help

  2. When i set game console for my xbox, then play offline and/or single player online, the packets go up marginally. Basically like 1000-1500 per a 20min game.

When i join a multiplayer lobby w/ my team in NHL, i notice the packets will register anywhere from 50-500 per second on download. Even in a lobby just looking gor games. In a 20 min session of gameplay I've seen close to 100,000 packets. I also notice the gameplay is definitely laggy.when this happens

Any idea why sooo many packets are registering? Is there anything we can do or i can suggest to my team to look for?

  3. Ok. Tx Fraser. I also saw somwhere you told someone to put the router wan in dmz on isp modem.

When i try on my modem to input the wan isp shown in system info, it says it's not reccognized address. It says host ip isnt in lan ip address subnet.

I can also click on connected devices on the modem and it doesn't recognize the router.

Tryin to put my xbox in dmz but saw you told someone to do it this way as it's better

  4. Wolverine is a very good controller and does last if you don't rage.

Victrix is better and quicker but the A button desinigrates very quickly so it's a hassle.

I hated Power A until i bought the Power A Fusion Pro.  I love this controller!  Super fast and smooth, you can add back paddles individually.

So far it's my fave and I'm 6 months in

  5. This forum becoming a joke.  NHL not added to prio. Not added to anything.

Same ol bs of wait................................................for a new firmware.

I respect the guys like Fraser and Liam who do their best to buy time,   but stop lying to us.  It's been a year to add a game to prio which is simple,  and the new firmware is nowhere in sight.  Dropping this garbage router. The service is pure garbage. This product is poopy.

  6. Not sure why it's buggy now. Lowest distance. 0 assist.  Used to boot game and have all servers pop up.  Highlight designated server and go.

Now all the servers are blocked  even when i click and allow it rarely works.

I've resync cloud, cleared device manager.  When i finally get on a designated server usually the next time it connects to an opposite one.

Ah you said previously your laptop wasn't able to connect via ethernet. You should input the highest speeds you're seeing as that is actually what the router is getting. Did you try the previous link for increasing speeds?

Hi Faser. That wasn't me.  It was the OP.

Anyway after a zillion tests, in my case anyway, using the routers setup wizard to check connection and speeds feels the best and gives me the highest values

The tests on the router do the test from the router itself to those servers whereas with speedtest.net it's doing it from your device to the server and as you're unable to do a wired speedtest and forced to do WiFi that's why it will be a bit lower. Go with the highest number as that's what the router is actually receiving.

Not a wifi test. Laptop is wired for all tests.  Wifi is actually disabled. Xbox wired also

So basically the setup test on DumaOS registers close to my ISP speeds. Every other test kills my DL by almost 50%.

What should i be inputting into my CC speeds for the closet accuracy?

Approx tests with QOS off. Isp is - 1000/150

    Duma Setup - 939/160

    Duma Benchmark -450/140

Duma CC Auto detect - 500-700/120-140

Laptop Internet Speedtest by Ookla which i ping a local server - 220-300/ 145-158

Xbox speed test from settings menu- 960-1100/60-130

As you can see the discrepancy is ridiculous between tests, so hard to decide which is actually the best to choose

Your connection will be limited to the network card on pc or laptop. They sell usb to Ethernet adapters on Amazon

Amazon Basics USB 3.0 to 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet Internet Adapter https://a.co/d/dZZ9GqJ

but still majority of laptops and desktops pc’s unless specifically stated in hardware specifications or you upgraded the network card yourself or paid someone to do it for you will not have a gigabit network card. Some modern pc and laptops may have it pre installed but you have to make sure.

spectrum technicians will tell you the same. Over WiFi running speed tests you are most likely maxing out the network card in the laptop. Everything will probably check out ok on your isp side of the network and the router may detect your provisioned isp speed but the bottleneck will be your laptop over WiFi.

So im confused. My ISP is 1000/150. When i speed test.net on laptop  and choose a local server,  my DL speed is super slow, around 200. UL is fine.

When i use the DumaOS site on laptop, i get 3 various speeds.  The setup test is best,  DL940. Benchmark usually gets around DL750.  Auto setup is around DL400.

I always see ppl suggest using the speedtest.net when guaging speeds but this test literally gives me the slowest values.
