high ping and random lag and filter not working

I've tested at the same time with another router and don't get such high ping, that's why I suspect the R3 -
SpeedTest and Ping Optimiser NOT working at all
Gskillz replied to mcallisterbr69's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I notice the same issues with speed test and optimizer not working. If you have your R3 connected to your ISP router, make sure you have DMZ enabled on your one your ISP router, this fixed it for me. -
high ping and random lag and filter not working
Gskillz replied to ryekye's topic in Netduma R3 Support
The high ping lobby on CW3 happened to me again 133 ping then it connects me to a server in another country, R3, I have to restart the PS5 3 times, take off the PS5 from Geo filter then add it back. Could not get normal ping, gave up for tonight. Hopefully it will get good on the next update along with the wifi issues -
All ethernet ports on back of router no longer work.

I'm having the same issues with my ports, on my R2 could I get the early access update please -
The external detachable antennas, how much DBI?

I another trick is to play with a friend, I get better lobbies with another player. Plus if you are playing against PC players they are always going to have the advantage better power behind there machines.

I feel the same, I would keep steady boost on if I were you, It makes for a smoother game.

I'll give this a try, I have the same setup as you

@Netduma Fraser I've set up my network with my R2 router serving as the primary router with DHCP enabled, while the R3 router is connected with DHCP disabled. Both routers have the PS5 IP assigned to their DMZ, and everything appears to be functioning smoothly; Call of Duty 3 indicates an open status. However, upon running a waveform buffer bloat test, it reveals low latency. To address this issue, it's essential to consider the network architecture. The R2 router connects directly to my carrier's ONT, while the R3 router is linked to the Ethernet port in my main room, serving as the intermediary between the primary router and my PS5, how do I fix this?. Also speed test and ping optimizer are not working, ping optimizer says "Ping Optimizer has encountered a problem-DumaOS is unable to complete the Ping Optimizer process due to external circumstances" How do I fix this? and Geo filter is working on the R2, not on the R3, I would like to use it on the R3.Is this happening because the R3 DCHP is disabled?

@boothay Hey had the same issue, go to speed test, then click find my speed, after the R3 gets your speed, press set my speed to save, then go test your bufferbloat again and it should come up A+. Speeds can change from day to day, or at peak hours.

@Proud R3 Owner I would use chrome instead of edge, if that doesn't help keep refreshing your browser and lastly factory reset.

@Netduma Fraser I have tried all of your suggestions. please have someone look into this for the next update, thank you.

@Netduma FraserMake sure you don't have any wireless devices e.g. headphones, bluetooth etc within ~3 feet of the router, 2.4 is more susceptible to interference. The 2.4GHz signal on my router encounters issues despite the absence of any wireless or Bluetooth devices in close proximity. The router operates freely without interference from other devices, and both the 5GHz band and a direct Ethernet connection perform exceptionally well. However, the sole feature presenting difficulties is the 2.4GHz signal. I've diligently tested various channels and adjusted channel widths, but unfortunately, these efforts have not yielded any improvement in connection speeds. It remains perplexing why this particular aspect is not functioning optimally, given the absence of neighboring devices that could potentially cause interference, such as headphones or Bluetooth devices. Any other suggestions?

@Megatf Disable split band. Advanced. Pick a random channel, I did 128. Set bandwidth to 160mhz. 700+mbps wifi. Enjoy. I did this on 5GHz Wi-Fi signal and it works, got 700Mbps however on 2.6GHz changing the channel and channel width did not work anyone have a possible fix? for increasing my 2.4GHz speed I'm only getting 130Mbps

Encountering identical lobbies, where opponents seem almost bot-like, is a common experience. Yet, the noticeable improvement in ping clearly indicates the effectiveness of the R3. The true testament to its functionality is when opponents express frustration for being swiftly outplayed. For those contemplating a return of the R3, feel free to do so – I'll be awaiting you in the lobbies, ready for the challenge. 😄 If you're currently facing issues, exercise patience and anticipate the forthcoming updates. Such hiccups are par for the course when acquiring a product on its debut days.

@Westy147 If you have your modem is in strict mode and you try to join anyone outside your restricted area it will block you from joining there party. You can click them on the geo filters map(if you know what state or area they are in) and then allow them, then you should be able to join their party. Give it a try it should work. If you are having issues with NAt Type, I would put your main router on bridge mode( you can google how to do that... google your model number ) that should fix the problem then it will show open in the game. Me personally, decided not to use the internet service provided router, I connect my R3 straight to the wall and it works. Some internet providers allow you to use customer own routers.

On WIFI downloads/uploads on 2.4 & 5 are way to slow, I pay for 1G, and only getting a little over 100Mbps on WIFI...factory resetting does not work to resolve this.
-
I made the decision to factory reset my device, attempting this process three times; however, each time, there was no internet connection detected. Despite patiently waiting for ten minutes for the internet logo to appear on my laptop desktop, it failed to indicate a connection to the computer. Frustrated, I opted to press the advanced WAN settings, and finally, the internet connection showed up on my desktop. Interestingly, during the second and third attempts at resetting the R3, I had to refresh the Chrome browser to detect the internet connection, which initially did not reflect on my laptop. Only after pressing "continue" did the connection finally appear on my laptop screen. The troubleshooting process, though requiring multiple attempts and adjustments, eventually resulted in a successful restoration of the internet connection on desktop/laptop.🤪

This is resolved on new update, I checked (v4.0.41)

I've notice when you rename one in 2.4 and if it goes to 5 on wifi, you have to rename it again. Hop that helps

Eliminating bufferbloat has changed gaming for me
Gskillz replied to Megatf's topic in Netduma R3 Support
If you have to use your internet provider router I would put it in bridge mode, then on the R3 put your ps5/xbox/pc in DMZ. I just returned my Fios router, and connected my R3 to my wall, then put my ps5 in DMZ on the R3 router. simple...FYI for those who have to use there internet provided router, if you don't put it in bridge mode, you might run into a higher NAT type. -
Note to everyone, speed test and ping optimizer isn't working on the app, but it does work in the routers page on my computer. At least for me

Same here buffer bloat test which resulted in a C grade on the R3, but when tried on the R2 I get a Grade A, we all have to be patient and wait for updates. It would be kind of naïve to think a piece of technology won't ever need to be fine tuned with updates, lol😂
