  1. It might not even be an issue with the base ping being higher I believe it’s more so it fluctuates, if I watch the server through the ping heatmap it goes to 14-15 like my r2 consistently stayed at but the r3 just fluctuates from 14-21 a lot more with some spikes higher then that. For me anyway for others I’ve noticed the same thing depending on their original base ping like for you for example likely does the same thing but starting with 11 instead of my 14. This issue seems to be getting ignored and pushed under the rug though.
  2. If you go back to my high base ping post there is an issue with ping even with steady ping disabled, base ping about 3-6 higher then other routers because the ping fluctuates more on the R3
  3. If you have an r2 my honest opinion as of now is to wait to the r3 until they work out a few bugs
  4. Are you able to test your other router to compare the difference? That’s about like mine but a straight line no fluctuations on other routers.
  5. I understand I do believe it will have to be something fixed through a firmware update anyway just believe it should be prioritized as this seems to be affecting most if not everyone even if they don’t realize it yet.
  6. You must not have used the R2 if you think the R3 wifi is bad lol, the r2 wifi was horrendous. But it’s a gaming router not one for wifi anyway tbh,
  7. No router should increase your ping the and have high fluctuations like the r3 is currently giving, is it playable yes should it be happening still no, its a major flaw in possibly the qos or something else currently and it needs to continue to be pushed as an issue that needs fixed. secondly no ping stabilizer don’t increase your ping it does the opposite and lowers it your thinking of steady ping and even that isn’t currently working properly and I also believe that is because the ping fluctuations that are occurring, I’ve seen some comment about it becoming unstablilized over and over in games like warzone well from my experience it’s because the ping fluctuations as well. And tbh there should be no reason steady ping on a server that should technically be 14-16 max is stabilizing all the way up at 60-70 ping which is occurring at times, sometimes it will stabilize around 25, sometimes 30, sometimes 40 then you get those extremes of 50-70 and on those games I’ve seen the ping go up and down the entire games causing an even worst experience then it would have been with it off. If I turned steady ping off I’ve never seen it go over 22-23 anyway so it definitely isn’t fluctuating that high again the server should be 14-16 anyway but I would guess that is something they can easily work out the issue with the higher base ping to begin with idk that’s what I’m trying to figure out if it is going to be something they can fix or not and am bringing it up, because these issues are likely affecting many if not all they just don’t realize it and haven’t did the testing I have so far with the r3 compared to the r2, xr500, and Asus Rog rapture routers.
  8. Likely due to steady ping being enabled, there are multiple posts on this topic and there is a video on their YouTube about it. I would recommend running pingplotter using your old router and the r3 though and ping your actual ip address on the test, on my old routers I get a base ping of like 0.4-0.6ms then on the r3 constantly spikes up to 4-5ms.
  9. If it’s your pc having issues loading stuff go into the network adapter and disable ipv6, that’s what I had to do on one of my pcs it just wouldn’t load anything for some reason unless ipv6 is disabled.
  10. Bumping…. I know you guys are busy for the holidays but this is a major issue that’s about to case me to have to shelf the r3.
  11. It technically did, mine updated to 4.0.21 before I could even do the initial setup
  12. No packet burst just a higher then normal fluctuating ping but that’s happening for everything not just cod.
  13. I have ran multiple pingplotter tests at this point on the r2 and r3 with nothing connected at all besides the pc running pingplotter, I even ran it pinging my ip, on the ip itself test for the r2 stays about 0.4-0.5ms with the highest being 0.8ms in a 10 minute test. The R3 varies constantly up to 4 ms. So something is causing it to keep spiking, definitely don’t think it’s my network either as there is another guy on here that has reported the same and my buddies does the same thing. For reference on the r2 that graph never goes over the 1ms line compared to it going over the 4ms line here
  14. So my question then is do you think it’s something they can fix with a firmware update? Because from what I’m seeing it seems like they are trying to act like it’s normal saying stuff like the ping heatmap is updated and might show different then the r2, but that’s not really the issue to begin with, the heatmap seems to be showing accurately from what I’m seeing it’s just the overall ping fluctuating that’s the issue.
  15. That’s what I’m trying to figure out, they keep having you disabled all the features in the router which I have tried doing, I out the max from my r2 in, I’ve adjusted was although the ping optimizer adjusts the sliders back to 100%, 75% on the upload this time but usually 100% on both with no change. You can see the fluctuations happening on ping plotter and just by simply watching the server in real time. These fluctuations in return when I try to use steady ping forces the ping way higher then it should be imo anyway what should be 20ms with steady ping on is then 30-40ms and I do really like the steady ping option so far. If it’s something they can fix in a firmware update great if not it’s not looking good for the r3 because these are the worst fluctuations I’ve ever experienced on any router, and my buddy experiences the same thing as well as you and a few others I’ve seen. Like in this screen shot I can tell by watching the ping goes to the normal 14-15ms but it’s fluctuating to 18-20 consistently which lines up with ping plotter and what happens in game.
  16. Basically the same as what ping plotter was showing if you look at that screen shot, it just keeps fluctuating sometimes by 2-5ms sometimes more instead of staying at a stable ping.
  17. You can see how it fluctuates by watching it on the ping heatmap and clicking on the server as well.
  18. I want to add that the steady ping option is making my ping like 40ms most of the time on a supposed to be 14-15ms server? Is it supposed to be that much higher? Not as big a deal I would like the issue with the base ping fixed some how.
  19. Disabled now my wifi wont work even when I enabled it back(Started working again took like 5 minutes though for some reason.). It isn't just about the ping heatmap showing higher. The ping heatmap is 100% matching up to what my in game pings are doing as well. This isn't just occurring for me either.
  20. Left r3 22 ping for Georgia server, right 14ms. This does vary on the r3 could be 14ms one second(very unlikely) then be 18 the next all the way up to 22ms. The r2, or any other router in game stays at usually 14-15 on average. I have changed the max address of the r3 to the same as my r2 at this point as well.
  21. First screenshot is full r3 10 min test second is r3 on the left vs r2 on the right which even then you can see a clear difference. I messed around with the qos sliders since ping optimizer puts them at 100 and it was still just as bad or even worst on the r3.
  22. I’m not sure how to get the MAC address from the previous router or how to enter it in the r3 but I’ve used like 5 different routers and this has never happened, new firmware yields the same results. I’ve tried smart boost enabled and disabled, the ping optimizer puts my congestion control sliders both to 100% each time, I did try adjusting them to different sliders all the way down to 50% which also didn’t change anything. I’m not sure what running pingplotter is going to tell exactly but which server should I be testing?
  23. I’ll run one off cmd when I wake up, could really care less what google pings are, it’s an obvious issue that I’m seeing multiple people have currently tbh how do I ping through cmd though?
  24. I play call of duty about 5-10 hours a day and I geo specifically to 2-3 different servers. Quiet frankly I just know what the ping should be before I even checked through the router as it shows at all times in the top left corner of the game, the Georgia server is always 14-15ms with it going to16ms max every once and a while before going back to 15ms. The ping heatmap fluctuates from 14-21ms on the r3 if I click on the server and watch it it will average 17-20ms. In game top left or score board I’m hardly ever seeing it go 14-16 on the r3 it’s staying between 18-21ms, there’s really no need to check it any other way, it’s the same way on my buddies as well.
  25. I use the r3 straight up no other modems or routers, at this point I’m waiting on a reply from Frazier or someone cause it’s definitely caused by the the router itself, literally between 4-6 higher ping with the r3 compared to the xr500,r2, isp router itself, or the Asus Rog router. I’ve tried disabling everything as well. Then if you use steady ping on top of it which I do actually like so far you get an additional 7-to I’ve seen it go as high as 30 more ping on top of the already 4-6 it’s getting. I’ve seen my ping try to go back to normal and goes to like 15ms but that don’t last long.
