I rebooted the router using the nighthawk app. Then this crap started so I pulled the plug just for it to say my password is wrong. I finally get through the start up settings after a factory reset AND IT WONT EVEN START UP NOW. Says 192.168.1.1 isn't reachable. I've about had it with Duma and their junk OS. My XR450 never had this much issues.

I've been having this issue where devices will say no internet from my 5GHZ or 2.4GHZ. Sometimes one sometimes both. Some devices will be fine and others say no internet. Once in a while they just won't show up and the only fix is to reboot the router but sometimes I have to reboot it 2-4 times to fix the issue. I'm on 1.0.0.74_1.0.63 firmware and I've even tried a factory reset to fix it. Any help as to why? I've had the router a while now and it was working great but the past month or 2 has been hit or miss.

Yeah so I updated it via auto update to .64. There was no reset needed it was already a fresh factory reset from the box. So far it's fine, not sure why 1.0.0.74 doesn't show up on the auto update. After updating to 1.0.0.74 it was super laggy in the settings and it couldn't load it's own firmware pages. Then suddenly it just solved itself and it's functioning normally. Perhaps something had not fully finished internally after the firmware update.

NEW XR450 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535

I installed the first file and then the second firmware file listed. The beta firmware showed as the old firmware with an extra ending in the string and the router thought it was a downgrade from the intermediate firmware. It's been rock solid since I went back to the old firmware. I think I'll stay here till Netduma figures their stuff out. -

Okay so, this is all the problems on my XR450 with this firmware DHCP issues causing devices to be unable to obtain an IP address. (This was a little of an issue previously but only for cellphones) Extremely sluggish OS (Instantly fixed by downgrading) Wifi signal disappears until reboot Many devices no longer self identified in device manager OS crash (Must reboot) Factory resetting the router causes it to get stuck on "DumaOS not loaded" Until rebooting it after. DHCP requiring release/renew constantly. I'm concerned I need a new router if no one else is complaining, and yet all my issues are vanished or minimal once I downgrade back to 2.3.2.134 and a few reboots. I know it's a beta but that's extremely broken. I think I'll be staying away from DumaOS for my next router. It's not worth the issues this router has had over multiple firmware over the past 4? years. I remember back on one of the early firmware my router couldn't be connected to properly on wifi half the time, or everything on wifi was slow. The last time this router had a beta it fixed EVERYTHING, so I'm a bit disappointed. -

Smart connect was never on. And Channel was set to 11 instead of Auto. These problems did not exist previously. Something changed. Edit: The OS will also randomly just, die. Nothing loads. Wifi signals will just stop completely. Idk what changed but for me it's not good at all. -

Spoke too soon. It's constantly not allowing my smart bulbs to connect. It's having CONSTANT DHCP issues. Multiple devices can't get a connection without a static IP. I'll be downgrading my firmware tomorrow when I return home. -

After a factory reset the router is extremely slow loading anything in the OS now. It takes 2-3 minutes just to name a device. After struggling for around 1 hour my router magically is acting normal again. Is there some background stuff it does after it's formatted or what? -

Was trying to avoid it so I don't have to rename 20 light bulbs and other various devices, but I guess thats next step. -

So far this firmware is worse stability. The wifi randomly quits and has to be rebooted multiple times a week. -

So far it's much more responsive. Hopefully this solves the issue I was having with needing random reboots. -

Random question, why is the step 1 install listed as 2.3.2.136 but the second step is 2.3.2.134? Because the software my router is currently on is already 2.3.2.134? Shouldn't this all be labeled 3.3.535? -
Xr450 wifi quitting almost weekly.

Late reply but I just did it and I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks. -
My Xr450 on latest firmware has been solid for a long time now but recently I'm finding the wifi just stops wanting to work every weekend like clockwork. Rebooting usually solves it all but I'm just wondering why suddenly it's been doing this every weekend for the past month or 2. Prior it was never an issue and I probably had not rebooted it in 6 months which is amazing. If the router has a scheduled auto reboot I can enable that would be great solution as well. Sometimes a PC just needs to be rebooted.

Any chance this works on the XR450 as well? They're almost the same routers. -
I see it now. It used to be in the menu at the top. I just updated to the actual latest and I can find it now.

I haven't used my filtering settings much. Decided to finally play something that needed some filtering. Noticed on 2.3.2.120 fw the ping assist feature was removed? Any chance it will or has come back on future firmware?
