What version of firmware are you on, did you update it?
-
Netgears routers are better hardware wise and will use official drivers from the chipset manufacturers so you will for example have many of the subsets under the WiFi 6 standards as well as better coverage. Of course you require WiFi 6 clients to take full advantage of those standards under WiFi 6. you could use the XR1000 as an AP and not use the R3 WiFi to overcome the R3s WiFi .

Restarting R3 everyday to get to the settings.

No sadly that’s not how firmware works on routers. -
That's a bug that needs sorting. Do you have an AP you can use so you can get connected while they try to sort out the issues with WiFi

Rule of thumb never offer money exchange on these forums and never pass money to anyone. Advice is free here and you can be walked through the test on the forum which will also help other users who search or read through the forum. post your screen shots of ping plotter here on a new thread and you will get help.

Can you create a guest network. Set security open for a quick test and see if those devices connect. After test remove guest network. The reason for doing a guest network is it’s isolated or should be so for the test even though it will be a quick test it’s a safe way of testing if there is a security issue.

Leave the XR1000 as the AP, the devices that connect to that are easily handled back to the R3. You don’t need to DMZ an AP. devices handle connection, some equipment can persuade them to move over to a closer AP but in general the device will move over.

Can you expand on that to help to understand what security features you are looking for

Eliminating bufferbloat has changed gaming for me

I would be very wary of having a PC in DMZ on a shared network. With no security in place from your router all traffic will be allowed in and you only have your windows software to protect you which is not great. Consoles are less of a risk but I would recommend some research on the use of DMZ before using it. -
Yes it’s normal in bridge mode. You can put the ps5 in DMZ but there are risks even though they are low. Set the IP address as well so it remains the same. The risk is every port is open and as such on a shared network it’s possible to gain access so be aware of using DMZ as it bypasses the routers security. Insure the PS5 is upto date as Sony push security update.

Example you have 900 up and 900 down. You would need a client or multiple clients to use up all of that 900 on either up or down but it’s pointless because you don’t normally saturate or use up all your bandwidth. You have very few clients so unless one is constantly using all that amount above you don’t need to worry. follow the link Fuzy gave you and spend some time working out the software then go from there.

It should auto detect the correct MTU but most isp help forums or guides can also provide the info.

Turn QoS off unless your household/Network is saturating your connection. On a gig up and down you should have no issues. These tests simulate if you saturated your connection but reality you probably never do. Looking at your screen shots you have a very quiet network, just disable QoS and don’t worry these online tests.

MTU will not help with WiFi. As long as it’s at the correct value which you can check it has no impact on WiFi. what you don’t want is to fragment your traffic. IPv4 and IPv6 work differently in this respect and it can cause packet drop and create issues as resources are used(PMTUD)

Have you looked it up, that why I asked

What’s the MAC address of the unknown client?
-
149 and above are no longer DFS in the U.K. Handy channels on 80Mhz due to OFCOM removing the DFS requirements when 6E appeared. Thankfully I can access them and not had issues with clients either. Did you try 48 at 80Mhz?

The last security update was back in August 22. I would say it’s best not to use it now and think about a suitable replacement.

Network Activity - Showing lots, but Saying little...

How on earth did they crack your password and how did you create one that’s not encrypted?? always use a long password with a mixture of letters and numbers with capitals thrown in. Guessing a password is impossible unless they knew you. Never use an open network, insure you use the appointed security protocol. -
Ah that’s fine, Sonos tends to support STP and I was just wondering if you were using switches.
