  1. I am using the R2 with the .205 firmware and somehow when l disable the geo filter and reboot, the Rapp not loading dilemma seems to be gone, although l want to use geo filter but I'd rather have it stable for now.
  2. I believe that you have to make sure the modem/router needs to be on bridge mode so that when you install the R2 then it will be a easier.
  3. Can you pls send me the latest build, i'm having trouble when the kids use google classroom, TY in advance!
  4. l think i found a solution Fraser, l did a firmware update on the R2 with the current firmware and did a factory reset, so far everything is good after 2 days of doing this, perhaps a buggy firmware version of 3.0.123 is loaded on my R2 unit?
  5. Just rebooted and tested it's working then log out, after 5 - 10 minutes log in then the issue is back, but the rest of the tabs is loading just fine.
  6. I have the same issue but when i reboot the router it works fine but after sometime it's the same problem again, there's something wrong with the Ping Heatmap.
  7. I would say that geo fencing alone convinced me to buy the r2
  8. Thanks Netduma Fraser, now no one in the house is hogging the bandwidth when I'm playing. 👍 PS, I know that you Fraser and the Netduma team is getting a lot of negativity from the crowd lately but please remember that you guys rock!
  9. I just bought it and got it set up and so far it got me just the one SSID which I really wanted and it's good, does the Nighthawk X6 AC2200 makes it so the XR500 control the IPs of all my devices and so all features can be used effectively?
  10. Hey Netduma Fraser, after a lot of trials, I gave up on this endeavor and now I'm just looking for a AI Mesh from netgear and I found this, NETGEAR Nighthawk X6 AC2200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Mesh Extender (X7700-100CNS), my question is that can this make it so i just have one SSID?, and by the way is this a mesh or extender? I'm getting mixed reviews on this product, I just want one SSID in the house which is my goal and like you said control the IPs of all my devices and so all features can be used effectively, any recommendations are welcome!, thank you in advance!
  11. Thank you for the suggestions!, a friend of mine actually owns the same router I have, the XR500, and he bought a D-Link Covr AC2200 Tri-Band Whole-Home Mesh Wi-Fi System to extend his wifi range for his place, I was thinking of doing the same to my place with my asus routers and they are mesh compatible but somehow they are to cumbersome to set up. So I was wondering what does the primary node do like the D-Link Covr to somehow make this work so I can apply the same settings to my primary Asus mesh router, I do noticed that the D-Link Covr have a different SSID, I appreciate any suggestions in advance!
  12. Hello friends, I would like to seek for an advice on how to set up some of my asus routers to form a mesh wifi, essentially I want the XR500 to be my main router because it is far superior than the Asus routers I currently have and then use the Asus RT-AC86U as the secondary router, by doing this I can use the RT-AC86U as a primary mesh router and use the other asus routers as an extending wifi mesh nodes, There no problem setting the mesh nodes but I am currently having problems as to how to set up the RT-AC86U as the secondary router, any help would be appreciated!
  13. Yes it's good that it's fixed, i only downgraded to .40 because i cannot access the dashboard when i need to change some settings and some Xr500 users apparently have brought this to dev's attention, i'm not really following the threads so i was wondering if this was fixed?, thanks again!.
  14. Thank you for the recommendation Bert, i will be experimenting base on your suggestion!
  15. As per Netduma Fraser's instruction, i have re downloaded and updated my Xr500 to the latest version, it seems like that did the trick somehow, everything was working good like before i downgraded to firmware .40, does this mean i cannot downgrade firmware anymore?, and also why did the Xr500 behaved like that? i would like to know for future reference, Thank you for the help.
