Ok Fraser, then I will also send other acquisitions with wireshark for applications such as clients or things in common use, I'm happy to be able to help. As for smartBoost I think it's a bug and I don't think it's intentional because as you can see in this way the cc is always active. I will then update this post after the various firmware updates to provide you with my feedback on these topics that I have covered! (twitch, geo filter etc.) Thank you and good evening!

Hi @Netduma Fraser I wanted to report a problem that I had already mentioned if you read above but I believe in a post where I report a few things but you didn't reply to me, currently this LGwebOSTV device is physically disconnected from the mains, therefore it has no power supply, and is seen as connected by smartQos with Netflix, this means always having a priority in the queue even if it is not doing anything or rather in this case it does not exist at all as the TV is physically disconnected from the power. In the image you can also see Twitch from the PC I'm writing from but it's not open anywhere. If you run a speed test this corresponds to the speeds with active cc as that traffic that does not exist activates congestion control, so the line is always with active cc even when it shouldn't be as there is no need for it

It's a shame that you have to globally activate and deactivate geolatency every time. More than anything, if a person plays a game that needs geolatency but another person doesn't need it, you have to forcibly keep it active. It would be nice to have Steady Ping that works with all games, on Overwatch it always works and you can see the difference in game, I have a little more ping but nothing changes but I don't have any spikes due to lag, everything is more fluid. For twitch let me know if I can help in any other way and if the fix comes with the next update, I can do all the tests and give you feedback. I also wanted to ask you, in the post where we post data taken from wireshark for games, can we also post data captured from applications? I'll give you an example, when my Xbox downloads when it's turned off it isn't recognized in SmatBoost and gives unknown data in the graph. If I want I can also help map the data of these or other applications/clients.

Hi @Netduma Fraser Is it possible to do something about the twitch problem? If you need any other proof or information let me know.

With the .019 firmware Overwatch 2 always connected to me in Europe and never in America, it always found games without problems, Diablo 4 didn't work, these days I'm also testing Street Fighter 6 on xbox and I'll give you feedback, I don't know if it's supported but it would be very nice if it were as it is a game where low ping makes a difference. However, it would be useful if Steady Ping could be activated on a per-device basis and not have it active globally so that games that need it use it and others don't.

Hi Fraser, I reset the router and tried again to put Diablo 4, as a PC it now sees it and connects to a server in Switzerland as a PC console mode on PC it is not detected by the geofilter, now it also sees Overwartch 2 in PC mode before it you could only see it in console mode but the problem remains that you only connect to a server in Oklahoma from Europe, by deactivating geolatency you won't find any matches.

Finding myself in the Geofilter as a setting I thought it had already been mapped, I made the capture and put everything in the appropriate post.👍

Hi, can anyone get diablo 4 to work with the geofilter? tried both on PC and Xbox and it is not seen either in the geofilter or as gaming priority in smartqos, on PC tested both in console and PC mode combining it with Diablo4.

this is the speed with the cc active and the values set to 100%, but they are variable, sometimes 27, other 28, sometimes 26 tests always done in the same conditions, if I deactivate qos I also recover another MB in download even if not always manages to reach the same speed on the same server and with the network downloaded, if I turn off the qos I always get the maximum speed, but this is not the sure problem, the parameters are correct, from the frtizbox in dsl this is the carrier negotiated with the power station (8b connection, 936m long)

Hi Fraser, I wanted to give you some feedback regarding the geofilter and other things, I tested some games: +PC in console mode playstation firmware .023 -Fallout76: is seen in the geofilter (Steady Ping works sometimes yes and sometimes not) that connects to a server but is not seen as gaming priority in smartqos, this is detected as xbox cloud gaming even if I don't play it in the cloud. -Diablo4, it is not seen either in the geofilter or in smartqos as a gaming priority on both PC and Xbox, this would be nice if it could be added and fixed, it always connects to a very distant server with 150+ ms of ping. -Modern Warfare 3: no problem on Xbox, everything works even Steady Ping, there are lots of servers, here you can also deactivate geolatency but you can always find matches anyway. -Overwatch2: on PC with the .19 firmware it worked well, it found games both within the geofilter radius and outside with geolatency enabled, with the current .23 it only finds games from Europe to America, if you deactivate geolatency it will not find anything , Steady Ping works in both versions. A limitation that I found is that you can only add 4 devices in the geofilter, for consoles it is also fine as it is not possible to select the game but for the PC you can put it either in console mode to make it work or in PC and with this Lastly you must also select the game so 4 possible entries are too few. Other problems I encountered: -these data are absolutely not true, I haven't done any of that so far but they are reported, I found myself at the end of the day even with 20 hours of play - in smartqos even without doing anything the things that are in priority are detected, this means that the cc is always active, it is resolved only after a restart -device manager, most devices are not recognized -adblocker, if you stay on this page for a while the dashboard freezes and you have to reload the page -ping optimizer, almost never works -smartQos, there are problems with Twitch that I have already explained -wifi, my wife's phone, an iPhone 11, often disconnects Some things I wish were there and that I think are useful: -it often happens that you would like to know what an unknown device is, to do this for example you can perform a task such as a video on that device, go to network activity and see which one is running that thing but then from there it is not possible to rename that device device, an option to name the device from there would be useful - being able to turn off all the lights, at night they make a very strong and annoying light -be able to choose geolatency based on the device One thing I really like is the complete rewriting of the interface, switching from jquery to React, then rewriting the entire front end from scratch with a new framework has improved this aspect a lot, the interface blocks are almost equal to 0.

Hi Fraser, I wanted to give you some feedback on the geofilter with Overwatch 2, so far the best version with it was the one the router came with, the .19, the .20 didn't work at all and the .23 always only sees the servers in America and it only connects there, I tried both in PlayStation and computer mode and nothing changes, however with the .19 it actually filtered out the servers in Europe. Strange thing, if I deactivate geolatency and therefore it can no longer connect in America it will not connect to any server in Europe and will never find a match.

yes, the speeds are the same, I think it's a problem of QoS with twitch, I've done all the possible tests but nothing to do, when you saturate the bandwidth with a download to twitch it's not given the necessary bandwidth, same thing that happens in the post I wrote with the netduma r2 with the smartQos beta, I also made a video.
-
I had already tried it and it doesn't change anything, I also gave it a reserved bandwidth of 10mb and the same thing, when it downloads something and saturates the bandwidth twitch goes into lockdown and is not assigned the bandwidth it needs, I also tried on different devices ( PC, tablet, smartphone) but the result is the same.

Hi Fraser, I've always had IPv6 disabled and I've disabled all the advanced options but no changes with Twitch
-
Hi Frase,no problem, I'll answer you in points: 1-yes the problem occurs on both ppoe and dhcp, I also tried with static mode and the same problem occurs 2-all devices are connected to the r3, only the r3 is connected to the lan port 2 on my fritzbox modem 3-in the dmz of the fritzbox (exposed host) there is the r3 and this has always assigned the same ip from the fritzbox, in ppoe mode however the ip of the r3 is totally different from that of the fritz in when it establishes its connection 4-yes, in addition to the video and streaming priority, I also gave priority to the device (my PC) and also assigned a 10mb traffic band to Twitch, enabling the advanced mode of smartQos If I check the smartqos stats everything is assigned correctly but Twitch still blocks because it isn't given the necessary bandwidth, this doesn't happen with YouTube streaming, Facebook steaming etc. If you need me to do some specific tests that can help solve the problem I will be happy to help, now I'll try the firmware you sent me and also test the geographic filter.

Hi Fraser, I've done various tests, I've also done a reset on both Netduma and Fritz, the problem occurs mainly on Twitch streaming, I've tried other live streaming and they're fine, even services like Netflix, Disney etc work but there's something wrong with twitch (in the stats for nerds it's all right as a priority) and the streaming is always uninterrupted, I also wanted to tell you that with the .19 firmware, playing Tower Watch on PC I first saw all the servers and it was also activated the steady ping, after updating to .20 with the same settings I no longer see any server connecting the game, I also tried removing and replacing the PC (playstation console mode as device), I updated the cloud but nothing.

Here are some images: a download is in progress and at the same time a twitch live feed which requires 8.5mb, the download goes to maximum the live feed is continuously blocked here are the settings: dhcp mode: ppoe fritz: I think I also found a bug, when you switch from one connection to another, in my case from dhcp to ppoe the Speed Test bypass is automatically reactivated and does not save the setting Edit: Log: R3_2023-12-20T18_15_18.566Z_logs.txt

hi, I did some tests with both uploaded and downloaded files both from clients such as games and from other sources, I also deactivated the speedtest bypass, nothing to do, even with congestion control always active, all of it is used the bandwidth and it is all unusable, as if the QOS were not there, it is completely unusable, a Twitch streaming that requires at least 8/10 MB of bandwidth is assigned a maximum of 3 MB and is always blocked
-
from my fritbox I only have the netduma connected in dmz, on the netduma no device in dmz, if I do a download with any client that saturates my bandwidth the qos doesn't work, I have gaming, video and streaming and livestream as priority, they can also be seen in smartQos as you can see in the image there is a prioritized service but it is saturating all the bandwidth without activating congestion control and everything is blocked, the router is therefore unusable, it is not possible to perform a download or anything else as with the saturated bandwidth everything stops, the qos is not managing the network. if I only use the fritzbox with 2 active downloads I also see the streaming in 4k, the downloads are queued and the streaming has the necessary bandwidth, with the netduma everything goes blocked, the congestion control is also set to manual with always active not works. if I go to the advanced stats I also see that the router is prioritizing traffic only for streaming.
