ok so you just disabled UPNP and port forwarded 3074....my UPNP wasnt reading any ports except 9303...I was getting a moderate NAT before I didnt port forwarding

so what else was causing your double nat? PS5 doesnt tell you if your getting it....the ports just dont show up in the UPNP list.

if I'm using just UPNP.....on the UPNP list on the interface its only showing 9303 port open which I think it for the PS% but thats it...I go into cod cold war...moderate net...I go into MW3 I moderate I have reboot the router and the PS5 a few times...and still get it...I havent done a hard reboot on the PS5.....I know of a hard reset which would wipe all my games off...how do you do a hard reboot compared to a normal reboot?

So I got my R3 today and I did the update to the .41 and have everything set up like I should...but whats the deal with the UPNP not reading any ports on my PS5 for call of duty? I'm getting a moderate in every COD game I try. The only port the R3 reads in the interface (I believe thats what it is) for the PS5 which is 9303....will that ever get fixed or getting fix? right now I still have UPNP still running but have 3074 port going in port forwarding.

Ok I’ll mess with it…I’ll drop the xr1000 to 0 and I may even drop my ring camera and echos to 0 and see how it works then

No…only thing that’s connected to my R2 is my ps5 and gaming pc…both hardwired and static…ring camera and my echos are Wi-Fi on the xr1000

It’s been a while since I’ve used my R2 except the other day and the R2 was only giving me like 200kbps…so to be totally honest I don’t know anything about the early access? What is the early access? Just last night I went back to the R2 with my xr1000 in AP to see if the R2 would grab the ports (which it reads them fine so I know it’s the xr1000 not reading them) …what do I do to get the early access for the R2? by chance did you guys send out the get early access through email on here? If so that’s why I don’t note anything about it..the email I have registered on here with you guys I don’t have anymore …I have gmail…if there’s a link to get the access my new email is now [email protected]

Ok so for the xr1000 and the devices…I can just drag them to 0s and allot the bandwidth to just my pc and console since they are the only thing connected to the R2?

I have the Wi-Fi on the R2 turned off and only running wifi on the xr1000. and all devices are working fine on it. However, on the bandwidth allocation it shows the xr1000 and both echos and my ring camera…so it’s definitely picking up them up through the R2…is there something I should have done differently to make them not appear? Or are you saying the beta will fix it were they won’t appear on the R2?

quick question about the R2...if I use my R2 as the router to run my PC and my PS5...and then Run my XR1000 in AP mode for all my wireless devices...on the bandwidth allocation Im of course seeing my XR100 and all my device....Do I put all my devices to 0 and put just give me XR1000 bandwidth and then let that control everything or do I still need to give my XR1000 some bandwidth to each device?

yeah I rebooted the router once and the game a few times and even the PS5 a few times and it just wont read the port...I finally had to leave the UPNP on and just went into the port forward and put in 3074 and its staying open. Its just strange the the XR1000 is only doing it...when I connect up my R2...it reads it every time.I would just keep the R2 inline for my pc and PS5 and AP my Xr1000 for all my echos and ring....but for some reason the R2 gave me such low bandwidth in the game I felt really behind...I could tell a difference between the 4k on the xr100 and the 200kbps ...could be placebo but I got much better kills under the Xr1000 with the normal kbps that it was giving me.

HAHA ok I lied.....I havent played for like two days...I guess something must have reset....because its back to doing it again....its still reads the port 9309 when the PS% boots up....but will not read 3074 going into COD and since its not reading its still giving me a moderate.

just getting back to you that after using my old R2 ...I put my xr1000 back online by it self with no AP router for my wifi and it was doing the same thing again with not reading ports (btw the R2 read ports to every game I played) but every time at night I would put my PS5 in rest mode after I closed cold war down I would log back on the game and it would read moderate because the ports weren't reading...however I reread this thread and changed the 4 in the UPNP live time up to 10 and so far its read open and the UPNP is reading the ports....I'm assuming that helped but so far so good...so as always Fraser...thanks a lot for the help and suggestions every time I need help!.. really appreciate it!

yeah like right now with google 1000 up and 1000 down the game is showing me at 217 kbps.....Ive never seen it this low before....I'll play for a little bit to see if it feels normal.

yeah I knew it doesnt use much but I have throttled anything...I am running a AP router for my wifi just at the moment...Its temporary.....you dont think that would play into it would it?

So I normally run a netgear XR1000...but I put my R2 online and did the new update for it...and have been using that router for the past day....why would my bandwidth in COD cold war be sitting around 300 to 400 in the game? I have closed the game a few times to see if it would grab a higher bandwidth but the highest I have got was 790...on my XR1000 no matter what day it was I was always between 3000 and 4000...why do you guys think it would stay so low on the R2?

which im ok with it....hopefully it will get fixed and I know its not on your side thats a netgear thing but I was hoping maybe you guys may know something since its your software...the problem I was getting was the going moderate every time i logged in and was having to reboot the router and PS5...so since I'm on the .64 I'll just keep and eye on it for a few more days and if it keeps going I'll get back in touch with you if thats ok

ok so I signed on and the UPNP table still isnt reading my ports but my game is showing open and I didnt have to reboot it....I'm still curious as to why its no longer reading....could it be the game? its cold war mostly and I know its an older game but never had problems before.

Thanks for the reply back...I will save this and try it in a few days....what I did was downloaded back down to the 1.0.0.64 ...I had did the new firmware uo to the 1.0.0.68....now im not sure if thats what was causing it or not....I'l just getting online now to see what it does....unless you think I should do it even on the .64 verison?

Well Fraser...I came back to this thread because my XR1000 is starting to do the not 3074 reading on the UPNP table...and now every time I log its showing moderate and I'm having to reboot my router to get my games back to open NAT...and it still wont read on the UPNP table

So my son uses my old XR500..my question is he has a work laptop that for some reason will not let him on the inter wifi...I was thinking that maybe it was something to do with maybe firewalls on the laptop since its a work laptop however, he has connected it two different places like my wifes work and at school on their wifi....by chance if its my router would be blocking just his laptop? everything else in my house connects such as phone...rokus...my laptop...my wifes laptop..just this one work laptop...any ideas?

Why is my device manager keep showing my PC and PS5 offline? when clearly I'm not because I'm playing online and can surfing the internet on my PC but I'm just curious why it would keep showing my offline? Also, if its howing my devices offline do you think its effecting anything like game plays or anything?

Thought I would get back to you real quick Fraser....My XR1000 started acting strange so I just took it offline and ended up having to do 2 factory resets (after the 1st factory reset, it would load the dumaOS on any web broswer so I couldnt even set my router to do anything) so after the 2nd factory reset everything is ok now and all the ports are now reading in the UPNP slots like they are suppose to do. Thanks for the help though.
