Hi there - Intro and some Q's

Hi,

Ordered my Netduma late last Thursday, arrived Saturday morning, spectacular delivery speed, thanks! I used Drif0r's dicount code (cheers dude) and play AW on PS4 mainly.

Really impressed with how it's working. I'm based in South Wales and would almost exclusively played against Europeans, mainly German, French, Spanish and Italian. Hearing a British accent of any kind was rare unless I was in a party!  I can safely say that since having the Netduma, things have changed drastically, now I play against UK players on good connections, and I can count on one hand the amount of BS deaths I've had in the 40 odd games I played over the weekend. Thank you so much!

Just a few questions I do have, if anyone is willing to help me along!

1) I'd say that 80% of my games played have been with the host located in the South Eastern part of England. I have my geo filter set to cover the UK, I find games easily enough, i just increase my ping assist if it's taking too long. I'm curious as too how accurate the geo filter is?

2) According to the geo filter, I've not hosted a single game? is this correct and how would I know if I'm host or not?

3)When I'm rating hosts and naming them, if I play on the same host again will than name still be saved? I read a post where someone suggested rating as many hosts as possible to build up a bank of good hosts, so I'm trying to do this.

4)Is there anyway to actually tell which player in the lobby is hosting?

Thanks!!

Hi eric,

Welcome to the forums :)

1. I think the location accuracy depends on the geolocation data for the IP address (I could be totally wrong on that), I'm sure Iain will be able to answer this in more detail as my understanding of this is limited.

2. If all the circles on your geo filter are large then you are host.

3. When you rate a host the name of the host you rate will be saved

4. The Duma will show you the location of the host but it won't t tell you what player it is.

There is loads of information on the wiki if you haven't seen it

There is also a fine tuning guide you can have a read at.

Hope this helps :)

Hi Eric, thanks for purchasing and welcome to the forum. I'm glad you're enjoying your Netduma. Stuart seems to have covered your questions. I'll elaborate on the allow list, that is purely there for playing friends. Anyone in the allow list will NOT be filtered regardless of distance. Hope that helps, if you ave any Qs let me know :)
