pattont Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Just wanted to post this question in an new thread so it doesn't get overlooked. Everything in my router is configured how the WIKI says for 120+megabit and I am getting those speeds as long as I have "Reset Prioritization" and all my devices are equal. If I bump my Xbox up even 1 priority from the "reset" I get 8-10 megabit on all of my other devices. I have "Share Excess" checked as well. If I reset prioritization I then get 120+megabit on other devices (i.e. laptop). What gives?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 30, 2015 Administrators Posted November 30, 2015 Device prioritisation now works in the download direction as well. Iain is working on splitting this so it won't be an issue in future
pattont Posted December 1, 2015 Author Posted December 1, 2015 Fraser - Right I get that, but device prioritization shouldn't take all of the bandwidth away from non-prioritized devices, either upload or download, and hold it for a device which is neither online or not using bandwidth... As I mentioned in my post I increased my Xbox priority by 1 from it's "reset" number. All of my existing devices would get 10% of the full download speed during speed tests. As soon as I reset the prioritization I could get my full 125megabit download. To me... This is broken...
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 2, 2015 Administrators Posted December 2, 2015 Are you using PPPoE as well? I know the device prio in the download direction has a cap of ~100 as it uses a lot of CPU with PPPoE, turbo and download prio on

Ace_Uk1000 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 I started a forum post with the same issue. But mine does the same if I turn down the number for my daughters ipad as she's always face timing her friends
