DARK BAWGS Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 I reported this a while ago but it persists and locks up the R1. Any suggestions on how to fix it. I pops up about every 30 seconds after I close it... DB
bagsta69 Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 I got this to along with a few other problems, hopefully the guys will sort it out in the next few days
bagsta69 Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 I dont know if it is relevant to your set up but have you made sure that the router is away from other electrical equipment like cordless phones etc?
DARK BAWGS Posted November 27, 2015 Author Posted November 27, 2015 Yes it is set up ok. This only started immediately after the update. Really quite annoying. DB

DARK BAWGS Posted November 28, 2015 Author Posted November 28, 2015 Have you got VPN disabled? It is "enabled" - I assume that is correct?
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted November 28, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted November 28, 2015 It is "enabled" - I assume that is correct? As long as no devices are selected that should't matter but just to be sure untick that box and click apply
DARK BAWGS Posted November 28, 2015 Author Posted November 28, 2015 When I unticked it and then reapplied it gave a message that I could not connect. The two attachments are my VPN screen; if I click enable it gives me a "Failed to Connect" error...
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted November 28, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted November 28, 2015 That is because the VPN config is not valid. And the reason you can't ping is becasue you have got your PS4 and Xbox selected.
DARK BAWGS Posted November 28, 2015 Author Posted November 28, 2015 It seems ok with this setup - hasn't happened since I posted this a couple of hours ago. Thanks for all your helpful suggestions, Crossy.

DARK BAWGS Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 Well it's back - and i keep getting a "Failed to Connect" message on my VPN page.
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted November 29, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted November 29, 2015 Well it's back - and i keep getting a "Failed to Connect" message on my VPN page. Do you use a VPN?
DARK BAWGS Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 Sorry but I don't know how to tell but I don't think so;
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted November 29, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted November 29, 2015 Sorry but I don't know how to tell but I don't think so; however now my PS4 says my NAT is Moderate - man this is frustrating! Make sure no consoles are enabled on the VPN and the VPN is disabled - otherwise you won't be able to ping. There is a guide here.
DARK BAWGS Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 Thanks again Crossy; There is an "Enable" above the "Apply" button in the VPN screen should that be checked or not?
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted November 29, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted November 29, 2015 Thanks again Crossy; There is an "Enable" above the "Apply" button in the VPN screen should that be checked or not? No it shouldn't Uncheck that then click "Apply". Then make sure none of the devices above are enabled.
DARK BAWGS Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 I had it fixed last night but somehow I must have done something to make is screw up again - it also went to "moderate" and I rebooted that may be how I casued it to change back. Anyway it is working fine now and I understand what it should be so I won't have to bother you again - for that at least! Thanks for your patience.
