procreate
so what is happening? every few days i go from full paid for speeds to 70% of paid for speeds. if i switch the MTU from auto to manual i gain my speeds back for a few more days... then when i lose my speeds again, i can switch the other way and gain it back yet again. this is something with the router as i have bypassed it and direct to modem always nets me full service. also i will note, my manual MTU is 1500 which is what i would expect auto to default to. Are you using R1? If not what are you using?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 24, 2015 Administrators Share Posted November 24, 2015 I don't think these two issues are related. Keep your MTU as it is and then reset device prioritisation and apply.
procreate
Done that, makes no difference. MTU change is what is "fixing" it. Also hard and soft reset doesn't fix it either. I will try it again in a few days when it slows down again... But that was first thing I did originally.
