Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted February 8, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted February 8, 2015 I no long see the host circles inside my geo filter range radar. I can see the host triangles outside my range, anyone know how to fix this? Try turning the console on and off and refreshing the GeoFilter page. It also maybe that you just haven't connected to any players within the radius of your GeoFilter.
tradie77 Posted February 8, 2015 Author Posted February 8, 2015 I've tried refreshing the page doesn't change anything, also forgot to mention I have no trouble finding a game and connecting, just can't see who I'm connected too.
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Ahh have you unticked show hosts at the top of the page?
tradie77 Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 no i haven't unticked that box. sometimes I might start out with small red circles in the radar, then they eventually disappear and I see nothing. I used to get large green circles when I connected, but not sure if the indicates the quality of the connection. Also what do the colors mean?
Buds Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Colours are just related to whichever device is currently in the geo-filter. On mine, first device would be red, second green and so on. It is so you know which circles relate to which device. Which might actually be the cause at a wild guess. Do you happen to have both Xbox live and Xbox live PA setup at same time (or PS if using PSN)?
tradie77 Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 thanks for the color meanings buds, i have setup xbox live but not sure what xbox live PA is?
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Charts buds, Tradie what version are you on? You can see at the bottom of the page. Thanks
Buds Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 thanks for the color meanings buds, i have setup xbox live but not sure what xbox live PA is? No problems. XB PA is the new ping assist feature which is on latest firmware. Some users had actually gotten both services setup at same time when it came out so was just a hail mary in case that was the issue. But the chief is up now so I'll let him take the lead
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 haha Buds, you're questions we're spot on I hadn't thought of dual selection.
Buds Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I'm sharpest in the mornings (although still like a dull blade even then).
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 haha really? I'm like a reptile I need to bask in some sun before cognitive functions kick in
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Hi Tradie77 can you upgrade to .7b. Then go to "Settings > Misc" and in the cloud section click Apply. To upgade to .7b please follow the instructions carefully here: http://forum.netduma.com/topic/742-7-beta/ Thanks
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 My pleasure tradie, please let me know how you get on
tradie77 Posted February 15, 2015 Author Posted February 15, 2015 All good now Iain thanks. just one other question, if there's a large circle I seem to be connection outside my radar and I can't rate or block it, does that mean it's a dedicated host?
Buds Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Yep, if you can't rate / update it then it's a dedicated server.
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Buds is correct Tradie. But remember they should also get filtered by distance. Have you selected the Xbox live PA or playstation network PA instead?
