Xanthos Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Hello, I've noticed with my router when I go to the interface and click on a function, sometimes it's slow to respond. For instance, it takes about five seconds to bring up host filtering. Again, I know five seconds isn't a lot of time. However, I've watched other YouTube videos and the router interface comes up instantly. I recently purchased this device, so I just want to make sure there are no problems..
Zennon Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 What version of the Netduma FW are you running found at the bottom of the gui the latest is 1.03.4 Have you tried clearing chrome's cache? Is it still slow if you use firefox?
Xanthos Posted October 6, 2015 Author Posted October 6, 2015 I'm using the latest version. I've tried both and the little loading squares appear for about 4 seconds before the map appears.
Zennon Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Have you tried a reboot from the Netduma gui in misc settings ?
Xanthos Posted October 6, 2015 Author Posted October 6, 2015 I just rebooted, unfortunately nothing changed.
Zennon Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Ive just tried mine and the loading squares go over 3 times sometimes 2 times, if someone is streaming or I am downloading they take a lot longer I have these on my bookmarks bar for speed Host filtering http://192.168.88.1/cgi-bin/geopanel.sh Congestion control http://192.168.88.1/cgi-bin/qos.sh
Xanthos Posted October 6, 2015 Author Posted October 6, 2015 It's five for me with nothing in the background. I'm not sure if that's unusual or not. I probably should've mentioned the router completely froze last night and I had to replug it. That's's why am just a little bit paranoid in making sure everything is running how it should.
Xanthos Posted October 6, 2015 Author Posted October 6, 2015 Okay, so it's three for Firefox and five for chrome. Were you using Firefox or chrome?
Zennon Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Firefox I do not like the chrome browser or the ethos of the company, so no google search for me I use start page which uses googles search engine without the spyware/tracking/third-party selling of details.
Xanthos Posted October 6, 2015 Author Posted October 6, 2015 Then we are on the same page. I also figured out my chrome issue. I have an extension called cache killer for chrome so it can't cache any data on my hard drive. With that disabled, it goes down to two times. Question solved, thank you very much for your support.
Zennon Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Great news, glad you have it sorted I will close the thread if you have any other question's please make a new post, thanks.
