Winds
I'm experiencing low bandwidth and very unstable connection when connected to my VPN through my R1. My normal bandwidth is around 60mbps down, 4mbps up, and my ping test results are usually around 20ms ping, 1ms jitter (0% packet loss). I'm subscribed to Private Internet Access, and when using their software on my desktop PC, these numbers remain virtually unchanged. When I configure my VPN in the R1, however, I see bandwidth tests of 9mbps/4mbps and ping tests of 200+ms ping, 100+ms jitter (although with no packet loss), which makes playing online nigh impossible. The main reason I purchased an R1 was for DDoS prevention, so not being able to play through a VPN is a pretty big issue for me.

Hey WOC, there is a current bug limiting the speed through VPN but this is being fixed. Are you choosing a close server as strange you're getting such high pings, are you also applying it to the console or your PC?

Are you choosing a close server as strange you're getting such high pings, are you also applying it to the console or your PC? Sorry for the extremely delayed response; I forgot I made this post until I was hit offline during a stream just now, haha. The server I was choosing for both my PC and router configurations of the VPN was the same server (the closest to me). I applied the VPN to my PC and router separately (ie: when I tested speeds on my PC, it was only configured through my PC, when testing on the router, it was only configured on the router). I've read some of the other VPN problems on the forum, and I imagine that could possibly be chalked up to the bug to which you're referring, even though that's more of a bandwidth problem. Hopefully this problem will be resolved for me in the next firmware version. Fingers crossed. I'd love to stop getting hit offline while streaming lol. I believe it may be fixed in the current update we're testing. You could do the exception for streaming, that would prevent your stream from lagging due to the VPN but also keep your PC protected
