Sorry, thats my fault - I don't run window so I couldn't test to make sure those commands were right. It's actually 'ipconfig -release' and 'ipconfig -renew' and then if you could screen shot the results of 'ipconfig'.

Are there any devices that this doesn't happen with? Could you connect another router as your main router and see if the devices that are affected get the correct IP from that router.

I tested with nighthawn and was still getting these issues, i think it has somethong to do with the modem but im not sure.

UPDATE: This issue doesnt appear to be happening on my old netgear n600 router.

UPDATE: The problem was with the modem, so i factory reset the modem and it started working again, thanks for the help everyone i really appreciate it. If any one else has this problem in the future (problems caused by electrical power outage), the problem is the modem was forwarding wrong information from the isp which caused the router to not be able to connect to the modem. When this happens the devices were unable to get a ip from the router, so they ended up making their own ips (which were incorrect).
