Frank Betancourt Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Hi, I have Spectrum internet connected to a Netduma R3. Spectrum checked the connection and told me the problem appears to be the router, not the Spectrum modem. After the router has been working for several days, the 5 GHz Wi-Fi network randomly disappears. The 2.4 GHz network remains available. This keeps happening every few days. I’ve also had the internet stop working through the R3. Restarting/resetting the R3 brought the internet back. I installed the latest firmware that was released a few days ago, and I’ve checked everything and made sure it’s up to date, but I’m still having the same problem. teejay 1
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 30 Administrators Posted October 30 If it's a specific issue happening with the R3 WiFi network it would be the R3 and not your main internet that's true. Have you split the WiFi bands and connected to 2.4GHz/5GHz separately? Could you provide the logs when the WiFi issue next happens and when you next get the internet disconnect please? Frank Betancourt Posted October 30 Author Posted October 30 I also noticed these messages in the system logs: “HTTP request failed, code: 1,” “time went backwards,” and “conntrack byte count went backwards.” I understand they may be unrelated to the 5 GHz WiFi issue, but could you tell me what they mean and whether they indicate a problem with the router? I’ve attached the logs I have now. The next time the 5 GHz network disappears, I’ll download the logs right away and send them to you so you can check whether they help identify the cause. teejay 1
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 31 Administrators Posted October 31 No they're all fine, the logs show normal background processes that can look like issues, time went backwards is just log spam for example. Yes if you could download them so we can see the whole contents that'd be really helpful - just when the issue actually happens Frank Betancourt 1
Frank Betancourt Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago Hi Fraser, the 5 GHz network was working while I was gaming overnight. I went to sleep, and when I woke up, it was no longer showing, so I don’t know exactly when it stopped working. Only two devices are showing as connected. No phones or TVs can connect to 5 GHz. Only the 2.4 GHz network is available. The only way to restore 5 GHz is to turn the router off and back on. I’m attaching the logs I saved after noticing the problem.R3_2026-11-08T18:50:00.948Z_logs.txt
