Ethernet cable doesnt work and doesnt show the light on the router

when i plug in my ethernet into any of the slots it doesnt show the light nor work on my laptop it works on my other router but not the net duma r3

Have you got the router connected to your ISP modem/router first to get internet? Have you accessed the interface and completed the setup wizard as you will need to do so before you get internet.

yea i have it completely setup wifi works fine but whenever i plug in any ethernet cable into any of the ports the light doesnt show up and it doesnt connect on my laptop ive tried 4 different ethernet cables that all worked on my old router

Go on the LAN Settings page, does it show any of the ports as connected when you have an ethernet cable plugged in? I've given you Early Access so you can upgrade to this firmware version which may help with the issue: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/60946-new-r3-firmware-dumaos-401147/ once successfully upgraded I'd suggest doing a factory reset as its a big jump in versions, then see if the issue continues.
