jupean23 Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago I have had EE Smart Hub with WiFi Enhancer for just over a year and the functionality never lasts longer than a day without a reboot. I've factory reset the router - set up compatible Wifi for 2.4Ghz devices - used Static addressing on the router - and identified each device that is connected and removed any devices which are no longer relevent. But it keeps happening - I set it all up - and then it works - and then it doesnt I've spoken to EE at length about this - they even sent me a new router but no joy. Does anyone have any idea that can help me because when it works it does make a difference Thanks for any advice
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 12 hours ago Administrators Posted 12 hours ago Could you explain what the issue is that you're facing exactly?
jupean23 Posted 9 hours ago Author Posted 9 hours ago Hi Fraser - sorry for not being clear. the WiFi enhancer functionality stops functioning less than 24 hours after a router reboot and the only way to have it start functioning again is to reboot the router daily. after a while the app states that none of the categories are being boosted and once that happens - less than 24 hours - the only recourse is to reboot the router. My issue is I’d like the WiFi enhancer to stay working for longer than a day at a time.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 9 hours ago Administrators Posted 9 hours ago So just the boosting aspect stops working? What games/applications are you expecting to be boosted? Presumably you're seeing them being boosted when you're playing the game/using the application within that first 24 hours and then it shows nothing correct? What devices are you using that the boost would be applying to? Are you leaving that device in an instant on/standby mode rather than shutting it down fully?
jupean23 Posted 7 hours ago Author Posted 7 hours ago I typically boost EAFC on PS5 for Gaming. Google Meet on Chromebook Multiple Video and Audio Streaming services on multiple devices. Yes - they all show as being boosted in the first 24 hours and then nothing after that unless I reboot the router. The PS5 and Chromebook are often in standby - I have made their IP addresses static on the router Thanks
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 7 hours ago Administrators Posted 7 hours ago As a test shut your console down fully when you stop using it and see if it gets boosted still after 24 hours please
jupean23 Posted 7 hours ago Author Posted 7 hours ago Will do as suggested and report back. Netduma Fraser 1
